Dr. Louis August Ditoppa, DO

I have been going to him for 30+ years. We are planning a "once in a lifetime" trip overseas until the coronovirus. Now I need my doctor to verify that I am not healthy enough to enter a plague zone. I have been living with RA, (whole-body/migrating arthritis) and had a jawbone infection that lasted 6 months. Ditoppa is refusing to sign off so that the Airline will refund almost $2000! I was shocked. Need to find a new PCP and would recommend not to trust him. Should I lose $2000 or enter a plague zone??. . tough choice since most of us don't make a doctor's salary. . . guess Ditoppa can't relate.

I believe Dr. DiToppa is a fine Doctor. However, his staff is very unfriendly. Almost every visit or phone call in which I have spoken/interacted with his staff, they made me feel as if I was a nuisance because they had to do tasks of their job description.

I have been a patient in this office for many years. While Dr. DiToppa may be a decent physician, I cannot say the same about his staff. I have used this office because of proximity to my house, so it was convenient. I will never go there again. The office staff is, and always was, some of the rudest people that I have ever known. I have switched doctors, and am so much more relaxed when making an appointment, changing an appointment, and going to my appointments.
