If you’re looking for a pat on the back and niceties rather than a Dr who can get your brain chemistry right, Dr Gold might not be your guy If you’re looking for a Dr who treats mental illness with medical science, you want Dr Gold. He’s brain chemistry expert, not Dr Feelgood. Be respectful to Dr Gold and his time, and he will respect you. I’ve been seeing Dr Gold for 7 years. He’s told me many times “it’s your right to enjoy life” He prescribes me 4 medications, enabling me to be a productive member of my family and community. My life is so much better since seeing Dr Gold

Worst doctor ever Dangerous person for his profession

was living in assisted living, waited 3 weeks for dr. Gold to see me, after request, when he finally showed, [only visited my home, if at least two patients requested him] so could wait months, I said I requested a visit weeks ago, I am not well. his reply ""I come when I want to", I replied what if you are needed, "you wait". I followed with , well then Goodbye! He got last word, "you couldn't afford me anyway! Dr. Gold walked from my room, BEST POSSIBLE ENDING FOR ME, he has no compassion, he is arrogant, I am 75 years old, met all types of people, this is the one I would select to have never been in my life, even for such a short period, I would never suggest him, to family, friend or enemy.

This man needs to have his license revoked. He is insensitive, unkind, and shouldn’t be practicing

I had a brief conversation ( or should I say confrontation) with Dr. Gould in regards to a new client. It is already difficult for people who need help to ask for it, then to be met by a doctor supposedly specializing in mental health, with such anger and ego is alarming.

I was going to a different Dr. They had me on over 10+ meds and the side effects were horrible. Also felt worse then I have ever felt. Finally after all the meds put me in a medication induced psychosis and put me in a mental hospital I looked for a new Dr.. I then asked my family Dr. for a referral to another Dr. she recommended Dr. Gold. I went to him and he took me off all but 4 of my meds, and no side affects and I have never felt better. I suggest Dr. Gold to anyone and everyone. Thanks Dr. Gold your the best..

Dr Gold prescribed a medication for me that had many side effects. When I attempted to discuss My concerns i was met with an abrupt dismissal from Dr Gold who then proceeded to tell me to get out of his office and not waste his time. He also insulted me by saying that I am not a smart woman to question his decision about prescribed medication. It’s my body and if I have concerns about side effects from medication I should be free and able to discuss those concerns with my doctor who prescribed medication. Dr Gold should probably seek counseling for his disorders. It is he who needs mental health help!!!!

I have never seen a doctor so condescending, disrespectful, rude, irritable and mean in my life! This doctor should have his licenses revoked. He yells at you over the phone saying, "you don't know what you're talking about"! He thinks he know everything and gets frustrated and upset when you question his methods. It took me a while to realize how awful this man was. I looked at all the reviews and they mirror exactly what I experienced. A doctor is someone who should help and give assistance. This man doesn't do anything! When I first came down to FL he prescribed me Paxil, which helped for a while. However, when my depression returned and the Paxil stopped working he was completely unwilling to try something different. When I started having Paxil side effects, "he just says that's not my problem"! He doesn't care for his patients at all. He would rather do the minimum to get by. My suspicion is that he is retired and does this work on the side because he clearly doesn't… care about his patients. His waiting room is always empty, which I can see why. He doesn't have a staff and picks up his phone with such a bad attitude. The only nice thing I can say, is that he is a little nicer in person. Other than that, he is all terrible. If you have a mental illness I advise you not to see this doctor. He will berate you and even yell at you over the phone. He gets upset when you question him and thinks he knows it all just because he went to a good school and has been in the Psychiatry for over 40 years. After having gone what I have gone through, and by diligently reading these comments left by other victims of his, I realized it was my turn to find a different doctor. I'm not wasting my money and time with this man. I'm disgusted!

Gold is a nasty, lunatic! I called about new patient appointment. When I explained my situation, I asked about whether he would be open to prescribing a medicine that other true, expert doctors/researchers, though out of state, had suggested (a newer approach for treatment-resistent patients). Completely unprovoked, he suddenly became very defensive, verbally attacked me and rudely said, “go find another doctor”. It told me he doesn’t have confidence in his own ability and doesn’t know his medications. Consider all the poor reviews (not just mine) and I say, forget this one.
