Caring, compassionate and very thorough

Horrible human and employer. He enjoys putting useless stress on the employe. Whether he wrote a note himself and than asking weeks later if he wrote that. Dozen and dozen examples. To constantly making the employe feel like they and they job is meaningless. He is not even a man. His manager does all his dirty work, he will never say it to your face how is feels.

First, I am amazed he won an on-time award. For 3 consecutive visits, I booked the 1st appointment of the day - at 1130. He does not do hospital work. For all 3, he was 45 minutes late and gave a cursory apology, blaming traffic. He does not accept direct payment from Medicare. This allows him to charge 15% more than the standard Medicare rate. It means that I had to pay him directly, and then wait for Medicare to reimburse me, and then wait for my Medicare supplement to reimburse me. Pain in the keester. He is the only MD I have used who does this. I know some MDs over-prescribe antibiotics, but he was overly cautious. He often wanted proof of infection via elevated white cell count. While I was awaiting the results, I was hurting and the illness seemed to just get worse. He seems isolated in the medical community. If you need emergent care during off hours, about all you can do is go to the ER. He never gives any refills on medications, even long-term, maintenance… medications. His medical records are a throwback to 50 years ago - handwritten notes only. During visits, his focus seemed to be on the charts. No patient portal. The pros include a calm demeanor. He never gets into panic mode. He carefully follows the established standards of care. He cares about his patients and offers encouragement and reassurance. His memory is uncanny! He is quite thorough and obviously intelligent.

Rooms in office are "simple no frills" and a little down at the heel. He is through, and has good follow up. I have seen him for 8 years and will continue. 4*s

Doctor Kanter kept me waiting more than a month for a test. He performed all kinds of unnecessary tests on me to drive up the bill. He asked me to get a flu shot like 4 times in one visit. His staff is incompetent at simple tasks and overly rude. He doesn't take credit cards for copay which says that he is cheap. His examination rooms were dirty.. etc.. Don't pay him a visit.

Dr. Kanter is most professional, completely dedicated and possesses great attention to detail. His staff is conscientious and compassionate. He deserves an overall rating of four stars.

Dr. Kanter is very thorough and pays careful attention to patient input, treating the whole person and not just the symptoms. Extremely conscientioius and reassuring.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kanter for over 20 years. He is the only Dr. that personally calls me with test results usually with in 24 hours. I have never had to call his office seeking test results. His staff is always accommodating and friendly. They always seem to be able to fit me in his schedule at a moments notice. Dr. Kanter in my opinion is one of the best.

Very confident in service, caring, compassionate, and thorough. Timely, great bedside manner, good followup when waiting on diagnosis. Over all experience was great. We have recommended many people to him and they are happy as well.
