Dr. Louis L. Lipschultz

Dr. Louis “Lou” Lipschultz is a highly exceptional Optometrist and Vision-Care professional at Southland Eye Associates with a longstanding connection to Chicago’s South Suburbs.

He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1986 and subsequently acquired Dr. Rocke’s optometric practice in Homewood. After 14 years in private practice, Dr. Lipschultz transitioned into the vision-impairment technology industry, serving as CEO of Pulse Data International and helping coordinate acquisitions that led to the creation of HumanWare.

Dr. Lipschultz has developed extensive expertise in vision impairment technology, rehabilitation, accessible web application design, and specialty vision care. He has lectured internationally on vision impairment technology and rehabilitation and continues to consult with leaders in the vision-care industry on the development of products and procedures designed to support people with visual impairments.
