Dr. Louis Joseph Mariotti, DO

I was treating at this practice with Dr. Stec for 15 years. It's been 5 years since my last visit and I had no idea that he is no longer part of the group (website still has Dr. Stec listed as provider. I had an issue with my ear and they were able to see me the next day, but as a new patient with Dr. Mariotti. I was in the exam room and it was appalling! The walls are in disrepair, there is a big promotional banner for hair plugs (in an ENT office- not sure how these 2 things are related), but what was disgusting was significant amount of dust on both the counter and the instrument table. I swiped my finger on the tool table and it left an impression from all the dust, which leads me to believe these tools are also unclean and not sterile! Dr. Mariotti comes in and I explain my 15 year history with my ear, he did not have my chart for review and asked several questions that he could have easily found answers to in my file. He made several negative comments about Dr. Stec,… which I found unprofessional and disconcerting, given their past partnership and with whom I had a trusting relationship for many years. His remarks were off-putting. He was very sure of himself, spoke to me in a condescending manner, treated me like I don’t know anything about my own history. Dr. Mariotti's negative comments about Dr. Stec, his lack of familiarity with my medical history, and his condescending manner left me feeling uncomfortable. I would not recommend this practice anymore! I would not recommend Dr. Mariotti for any consultation or any treatment!

Dr. Mariotti helped me 20+ years ago when I had polyps on my vocal cords. Recently he helped me with hoarseness and then more recently, with an infection in a cut on the outside of my ear. Very caring and took the time to listen.

I went for sore spot in throat and ear ache. He said sore spot was acid reflux and never addressed the ear. My Md doctor over the year has not told me I have acid reflux . I just have one sore spot in throat. He never did tell me what to do with ear ache.

Dr. Mariotti fixed my problem in one visit. I was suffering from annoying nosebleeds for years. I went to him and he diagnosed and corrected the problem immediately. He is extremely experienced and professional. I would highly recommend him!

Went to this Dr with a problem of motion sickness. He did not want to listen, did not explain anything, just wanted to order tests which he did not explain the relevance, and walked out of the room without a word. Worse experience of my 65 years.

I saw Dr. Mariotti for ongoing pain in my jaw and a recent ulcer that was also in that area. He alarmed me by telling me he was going to refer me to another ENT to perform the biopsy in case I needed surgery (said he would call them personally to get me in asap) and wanted me to get a CAT scan right away. I had the CAT scan two days later. TWO weeks later I still had no answer and no referral to the other ENT. I had to call repeatedly and when I did get a call back, they had my name incorrect. Just to get through to his office took me 9 minutes, got a busy signal and had to keep trying. I finally got an answer, thankfully my scan was normal and the ulcer had gone away in the two weeks since my visit. I felt Dr. Mariotti was very unprofessional in that he bashed other ENT's in the area so that I would go to who he referred me to. He was cold and did not explain what he was going to do before performing a nasal endoscopy. This may be something he performs every day, however… when you've never had this procedure, it would be nice to know what was going to happen. I would never return to their office for any procedure and would never recommend him as a doctor.

I went to see Dr. Mariotti for a problem with motion sickness that has gotten progressively worse over the past 2 years. He was so miserable and terse. All he wanted to talk about was dizziness and when I would ask about the motion sickness, he would cut me off. He gave me a brief exam and then said I needed a hearing test and a VNG test. NO EXPLANATIONS as to why he wanted these tests or what they were. I had to ask the nurse about it because he had just walked out of the room. So I sat waiting for my hearing test, which his office administers (and will get paid for) and looked up on my phone what a VNG test is, (again which his office will perform and get paid for) which is looking for dizziness!!! I will never go back to this DR or office again!

Unreasonable physician in dealing with State Aid. Wound not send or outright refused letter of State approved hearing appliance.

My 85 year old father developed a tumor below his ear. Dr. Mariotti was able to diagnose it quickly and recommend one of the top specialists in the country to deal with this very delicate and specific type tumor. In fact, due to his extensive contacts in this area of practice, he was able to expedite my father's appointment. If it wasn't for Dr. Mariotti's superior knowledge and immediate attention, my father's problem could have become more severe. Thanks Dr. Mariotti.

Had the best experience at this office. Dr Mariotti was very professional and explained everything so I could understand. Did not have to sit for hours waiting. I was in and out and completely knew what was wrong with me I highly recommend anyone that needs an ENT to see Dr Mariotti
