Dr. Louis Gerard Mudd, MD

I have been a patient for quite awhile, I am thankful to be able to see Dr Mudd. There is a shortage of psychiatrist and when I first started trying to see one due to panic attacks and anxiety, there was a 6 month wait list with other physicians, including Nashville. Because the drugs tried on me by regular doctors were not working, Dr Mudd agreed to see me. I was able to SLEEP at night for the first time in weeks. I was able to get back my life. He’s never been anything but kind and understanding with me.

Dr. Mudd has helped me in areas where I could not find help, he's become a dear friend and an has pulled me through the most difficult times of my life. " Dr. Mudd has helped me to live a healthy life again".

Wait times can be rough, but it is because he truly gives each patient the time needed to ensure accurate care.

I called this office at the request of a counselor. The receptionist was rude and wanted to know why I needed to see the doctor. I said to regulate my medication and per request by my counselor. She simply stated that she would let him know and if he wanted to see me that he would call. I have never received a call. I was not about to go into details with the receptionist about my problems so unless for some reason you need to go to the office, good luck.

Not very personable or sympathetic. Says odd things, contradicts what he says in previous visits. Wait time is horrible, always at least two hours behind.

Dr. Louis Mudd is one of the most professional, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding physicians that I have ever been in contact with and I have been a medical professional for 20+ years. It's of my opinion that whenever he is late to the office it's only because he is spending the time necessary for those patients he has admitted to the hospital whether his own private patients or those assigned to him while taking emergency call. He is in no way discriminatory, pompous, and or arrogant. He is extremely kind, patient, and thorough. I feel better today than I have felt in a number of years and it is all because Dr. Mudd graciously allowed me to be his patient, accurately diagnosing me and following me with the treatment he felt necessary. I am a better person today than I ever felt I could be. I am thankful, grateful, and very blessed to have Dr. Louis Mudd as my physician and would highly recommend him to others in need of his care.

He might be okay as long as you don't rescedule an appointment. I have wwaited four hrs for a 9:00am app. No apologys, nothing. If you miss a few app, he will give you up as patient.

Dr. smoked in his office. I have asthma!, Wait time was always 2 hrs past your appointment time. Very poor waiting faculties. Dr. has a habit of screaming at his patients. Not interested in working to find the proper diagnosis but giving you the meds he wants you to take. Therefore, you are being treated ineffectively. Truly not interested in helping a patient find help but triple booking appointments for the money.

Dr Mudd has no respect for his clients. He has them wait for over 2 hours for appointments that are made. He thinks his time is more important than his clients. My time is just as valuable as his. I hope that he starts getting the same service he gives his patients at every single doctor appointment, therapist appointment and everything in life. Why make an appointment if he is going to disregard them. The waiting room is small, it is two rooms, there were six chairs and a couch. They were all full. The receptionist was not friendly and waited until I asked why my daughter was waiting so long. A psychiatrist does not do emergency surgeries or deliver babies. He has no reason to be that far behind, people can understand waiting up to a half hour; but, after that it is ridiculous. PLEASE... FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR,,, DON'T USE DR. MUDD... SHOW HIM YOU ARE IMPORTANT...YOUR TIME IS IMPORTANT... He thinks that you are not important, this does nothing to a persons self esteem. … The person who is suppose to help your well being, disrespects you. there are other doctors who will treat you like you are valuable.

Dr. Mudd is a great doctor. He listens well and is willing to answer your questions. The only thing I have a problem with is the wait time in the office and the quickness of the meetings. I wish he had fewer patients and was willing to see you longer.
