Dr. Louis Harry Philipson, MD

I am sure Dr. Philipson is great and he must have changed a lot of people’s lives with his work, but he came across as a jerk in our first interaction with him. My wife’s Dr wanted to refer her to Dr Philipson as she was having higher sugars with more insulin. Below is his exact reply: “Actually I have come across this before. What she needs of course is psychology/psychiatry. I prefer not to see her since I don’t do well with magic any more. Maybe one of my colleagues. Thanks for asking.

Dr. Philipson and Amy Fischl are the best diabetic team a family could ask for. They always give our family their undivided attention, respond quickly to concerns and keep us apprised of all the latest develops in the treatment and management of Type 1 diabetes. Wait times have improved dramatically. Coordinating visits with Amy is very efficient.

Dr. Louis Philipson is everything a doctor should be. He spends time with his patients, on the ball, super smart, is attentive and really goes the extra mile. From what I understand, he only sees unusual types of diabetes. If this applies you to, you should definitely check him out.
