Dr. Louis Mark Profeta, MD

Dr. Profeta exhibits an alarming level of rudeness and condescension, coupled with an unmistakable arrogance that leaves both his patients and staff feeling belittled. During my recent ER visit—which was already fraught with fear given the rarity of my situation—his demeanor was anything but reassuring. I was struck by how hurried and flustered he appeared, which only heightened my sense of discomfort. Never in my experience have I encountered a physician who raises his voice so frequently and without cause, directing his frustration towards both his patients and the care team around him. He showed a glaring disregard for my concerns, opting instead to make a diagnosis without engaging me in a discussion about potential treatment options. This approach was deeply unsettling, particularly considering his long tenure in the medical field. I urge you to read the other reviews available; my experience is, regrettably, far from unique.

I wholeheartedly agree in that Dr. Lou Profeta is the worst ER physician to walk the face of the Earth. He's an author and calls himself such a "family man" on his social media pages. If that is the case, I feel so bad for his family and readers. He is extremely rude, rushed, on his phone while speaking to his patients, and makes fun of his patients out loud. Extremely unprofessional, condescending, and rude to his nurses and technicians in the ER. As an academic, I'm shocked he's allowed to speak at so many institutions of higher education with his conduct and lack of formal teaching credentials. I am also familiar with the dozens of complaints made about him to the Guest Relations (Patient Care Team) at the hospital from his long list of disgruntled patients. Beware.

Dr. Profeta is one of the worst ER doctors I have ever came into contact with at any ER. He appears to have his own agenda, his own views and is downright critical of other doctors who do not share the same views/diagnosis/course of treatment. I am filing complaint today after reading the most inaccurate summary. He failed to see the reason for the ER visit and wrote the discharge to his credit/defense. Continue to be the BEST advocate of your own health. If something does not seem right, speak up! Do not allow ER doctors to intimidate you or create false scenerios to justify a fly-by ER visit with no concern to the immediate concern/attention which was the reason for the visit.
