Dr. Louis Anthony Tartaglia, MD

This physician has little integrity and is very inappropriate with female patients. I felt unsafe seeing him and do not think he is a good diagnostician, as he prescribed me a Parkinson's medication for RLS, which I didn't have. Please do your homework and seek care elsewhere.

I feel this doctor should have his license pulled. Saw him several years ago and am still traumatized. Came on to me in his office, then showed up at my home under the guise of caring for me. Invited me to his home and expressed wanting to date me, only to express he was a sex addict. If you're a midlife or older woman, beware. Very ill person. Also diagnosed me with RLS and put me on medication for 10 years; a PA took me off the med and I've never felt better. Another specialist confirmed I did not have RLS. RUN from this "specialist."

Dr. Tartaglia has been my doctor for several years without issue. I'm immune-compromised and I requested that any personnel in my exam room, wear a mask. On previous visits, they have masked. At this visit, the staff, including the doctor, refused to wear a mask. I was told I should find another doctor.

He seems to have a certain way he’s always done things and it’s that way or no way. He’s treated me like I’m simply an obstacle to the rest of his day and rushed through my appointment, dismissing my concerns. He changed what was working for me when I began seeing him due to insurance. He threatened me when I was having trouble adjusting to treatment. He’s awful.

I was scheduled for appointment 6/5 at 3:30. I made a courtesy call saying I would be a maximum of 15 minutes late due to a train in Perrysburg and traffic stopped in Maumee due to protest marchers. The receptionist said my only option was to reschedule as he had appointments after. Not very considerate. They have no problems making patients wait due to their issues. I sure hope I don’t get charged for no show.

If he tells you your insomnia is due to RLS and you have never experienced RLS symptoms in your life, RUN away from this doctor! I got a second opinion from another Sleep Specialist and Neurologist about my diagnosis and they both said Dr. Tartaglia is INSANE for diagnosing me with RLS. Just because a person kicks their sleep during a sleep study, does not mean he or she has RLS. A polysomnography is not a proper way to diagnose a person with RLS. A PROPER way to diagnose someone with RLS is when the patient TELLS the doctor his or her legs bother them AND they feel relief when moving their legs. This has NEVER been the case with me! I was also told by the other Sleep Specialist that ALL insomniacs kick their legs in their sleep, regardless if they DO or DO NOT have RLS. I don’t feel Dr. Tartaglia knows how to properly do his job. He really should not be allowed to practice Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Tartaglia was excellent. He diagnosed me correctly. Very direct and to the point which I appreciate. The medication he prescribed me has helped me tremendously. Very detail oriented and professional.

Unfortunately I have a difficult dx and there is no know cause in my case. Attempts to improve it are current with medications.

I fell he has very poor manners when it comes to dealing with patients. Dr Tartaglia is very stuck on himself. He doesn't act like he has time to see you and is always rushed. Appointments are usually 5 minutes or less.
