Louisiana Rivera Valladares, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Rivera’s clinical focus is on providing exceptional patient care through the interpretation of cardiothoracic images and consultations with clinical team membersDr. Rivera started her medical education and training in Costa Rica, earning her medical degree at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica in San José, and completing her internship at Hospital Carlos Luis Valverde Vega in San Ramón. She then went on to Spain to complete her diagnostic radiology residency at Hospital Universitari Parc Taulí, Barcelona, Spain. She later came to the United States, completing her nuclear medicine fellowship and cardiothoracic imaging fellowship at Einstein.Focusing on lung cancer, interstitial lung disease and cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Rivera’s research has been shared through peer-reviewed journals, educational exhibits and oral presentations.Dr. Rivera is …board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the European Board of Radiology.
