Dr. Lourdes Bosquez, is awesome. Her bedside manner is very good. I've and husband been going to her for over 15yrs, Dr. Bosquez keep up the good work.

Medication focused irresponsible hack who should never be allowed to see children. She misdiagnoses and overmedicates, and becomes deeply hostile when presented with actual facts about children. Subsequently doctors have been horrified at her incorrect diagnoses (a 3 year old with bipolar? NO) and determined that there were no mental illnesses (just a healthy response to an abusive environment).

5 minutes into my first appointment she had me diagnosed and was ready to put me on medication for bipolar without even taking a history. She was very defensive and got offended that I would even question the diagnosis

I can't tell you how difficult it is to find a child psychiatrist who doesn't specialize in a single diagnosis (autism, ADHD) and can see your child without a wait time of 1-3 months. Dr Bosquez was able to get my son in the same week, and she takes our insurance -- which is hard to find. Dr Bosquez was able to quickly identify the source of my son's assorted problems (based on his mother's testimony and his behavior in the office) and diagnosed him with OCD and Tourettes at 9.5 years. Dr Bosquez interacts well with my son and can understand his responses even when he doesn't verbalize, just by reading his body language. She provided an immediate therapy which offered results and he feels so comfortable with her, he asks for an appointment whenever he's had a bad day. She can easily tell the difference between uncontrollable anxiety induced behaviors, behaviors driven by past but not current anxiety, and behavioral issues which stem from learned behavior that previously uncontrolled… temper tantrums yield special attention. She's also able to identify the source of hyperactivity and understand the difference between ADHD which may benefit from stimulants and other sources of hyperactivity which must be treated differently. She's so reassuring I feel like making an appointment for him anytime we have a bad day too!!!

After years of treatments with other doctors, Dr. Bosquez was able to find the proper diagnosis and provided the adequate treatment. I am impress by her knowledge and I highly recommend her.

This may save your life

I wrote a review a month ago regarding how Dr. Bosquez over medicated my mother while she was in a transitional hospital and refused to stop the medications, which caused my mother to be very confused and in an almost vegetative state. Update: when we got mom home from Kindred Hospital, we took her off all the medications Dr. Bosquez had her on. Mom is back to normal mentally and able to function again. Dr. Bosquez insisted that mom had dementia and was no longer able to function normally or to be off of the medications, even though we insisted that mom had never displayed symptoms of Dementia until put on the medications. Mom is doing difficult word puzzles and reading daily again, she converses normally again, she is cheerful, and completely alert and oriented. NO signs of Dementia! Doctors should listen to family members!

Stay far away! Over medicated my hospitalized loved one to the point that she could no longer function, even though she was repeatedly asked to stop the medications. My loved one was a functional and independent person before Bosquez, basically now a vegetable after Bosquez.
