Dr. Lourdes Silva, DO

The staff is extremely rude, arrogant and unprofessional, and the Dr DOES NOT SEE PATIENTS THE ARE ACTUALLY SICK. Dr. Silva actually turns patients away that have cold, flu ect.

This Dr. is very unprofessional, and not at all understanding. Nor does she care at all about patients. My 19 year old son woke up sick on a Saturday with possible flu symptoms and also with mild chest pain. Took him to Dr. Sylva, as she had seen him before. The staff was very arrogant, and with an attitude told me to go to the ER. Who are they to tell me that without even consulting with the Dr? I asked them to please talk to Dr. Sylva to see if she could please see my son. I waited for more than 30 minutes. I had to go back to them again and the secretary with an attitude told me that the Dr. was already done for the day. This was 2 1/2 hours before closing. When I questioned them, she told me that patients without an appointment have to come early in the morning. Where is that policy? There was only 2 people in the waiting room. In the mean time, as I was talking to the secretary I noticed that the Dr. and two other secretaries were in a corner in the back talking to each other, I… am sure it was about this situation. Not professional at all. I can not figure out why she is allowed to treat so many people in this manner. Or why any medical facility would want some one like this practicing at or representing their facility with such an extremely bad and unprofessional staff.

Every time I have seen her she has not been able to help me directly. I actually avoid going to see her even if I really need care because she often sends me to other specialists. Her bedside manor is mediocre at best. She comes off as being a pessimist & makes a big deal out of something that should be simple. I once went there for a cold & she sent me to the hospital for an hour worth of testing. Then I had to go back & see her just to find out that everything was fine. Get another Dr. she's just too green.

The first time I saw her I told her of severe stomach pain she told me it was my gallbladder when if she would have just listened to me or read my chart for that fact she would have known that I had it removed 7 yrs. ago. I ended up up in the er the next day with a appendix that was almost ruptured. On the next visit she laughed about it, then i talked to her about some other issues i was having she then laughed about that as well and perscribed me a medication that cost me 105$ to get and in turn the medication had a horriable effect on me and made me very ill. I do not recomend this doctor to anyone. One of the worst experiences ever.

This person is very cruel,rude,Unprofessional,and not at all understanding or knowledgeable of medical conditions and the pain certain medical conditions can cause.Nor does she care all you will receive from this(DOCTOR) is misdiagnosed,medical misconceptions,medical misconduct. I can not figure out why she is allowed to treat so so many people in this manor.Or why (ANY) medical facility would want some one like this practicing at or representing there facility.

2nd visit in 6 days. Although I am in severe pain, this DR will not prescribe anything except the one that ALL of UHS seems to push "tramadol."Very insensitive to mental issues, even ROLLED HER EYES at me. Previously diagnosed: fibromyalgia, adhesions, carpal & tarsal tunnel,IBS, barretts esophagus, and she won't prescribe something for pain? Previous history of being anti-pharmaceutical and never a pill popper, urgency because I cannot sit to do homework for more than 5-10 mins at a time and the end of my class is THIS WEEK = finals and final project. Now they add a renal cyst and diverticula to the list of ailments - but even these are not supposed to cause enough pain? HECK - I even offered to sign myself into the hospital so they can figure something out, to relieve this pain and DR Silva is still unwilling to TRY to figure something out? Staff and nurses are great, this DR is far from acceptable.
