I’m actually shocked by the what I’ve reviews! My son was his patient in summit nj. Because he had a child the same age as my son he was very empathetic and treated my child as his own. I came to this page because it has been about 10 years since he has seen him and I am looking to revisit some of my sons issues with Dr. Baptista

This doctor was assigned by NYP to provide emotional support to small group of doctors dealing with complicated patients with COVID-19. His response when doctors complained of feeling unappreciated, overworked and devalued by hospital administrators was "you don't get to pick your parents and you can't change them". He then recommended that doctors practice appreciating one another in order to compensate for the lack of support and value during this difficult time.

Uncaring. Unempathetic. Treats patients as business deals. Should not work in medicine.

Sitting with him gave me chills. This doctor has a machiavellian approach to medicine and the care of patients.

Dr. Baptista does not seem to have the patient's best interest at heart. He is cold and difficult to make contact with. At best, his overall demeanor and answers to questions seem disingenuous.
