Dr. Luan Quoc Pho, MD

I do not recommend this doctor. I do not want to write the details of my experience, but it was very negative. He was not helpful and his front desk assistant was mean/rude to another patient while I was in the waiting room.

The GP that I've been going to has a practice of sitting you in the office for an hour before you see anyone, and I'd gotten tired of it. I had a friend refer me to Dr. Pho because he did televisits. For years I've been prescribed Etodolac - which is a NON controlled substance, anti-inflammatory medicine for my period cramps. Essentially it's like a better version of Advil, etc. I called Dr. Pho's office to schedule an appointment to see him and get a refill on my expired RX. I was denied and treated like I was trying to come in and get a RX for opioids. As a lawyer and a consumer, I find this type of treatment to be beyond reproach. The assistant told me that this Dr. doesn't prescribe medicine for pain - which we both knew was a flat out lie. I proceeded to ask her how then he would decide to treat me for my period cramps? Of course, she had no answer. So I was profiled by this doctor based on being in need of medicine for my PERIOD. I NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS imagined that someone… would deny me a doctor visit because they didn't approve of why I needed the visit. I found this experience to be SEXIST AND INEXCUSABLE. I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone, ever.

Called Dr. based on great reviews; phone rang with no answer. Called back a few minutes later, casually answered by a lady “doctor’s office”.. explained needed appointment, she gave available dates, I said I would call back after I confirming I would get time off on available date.. called back.. answered and put on hold.. 18 minutes, no one came back on the phone, I hang up and called next doctor with great reviews. Bad customer service cost the doctor a new client.

This "doctor" was not professional at all I would take grandma in for her appointment and she would say wat was wrong with her but it was the same answer all the time. She would say my stomach hurts here and he would just say somthing not even ask questions or even touch her to see exactly were... last time I took her with pho he stated- if I were you I wouldnt spend more money on her she is old- and after asking him to prescribe a hearing aid for her so her insurance could cover it he said- that is why our economy is the way it is cause they are taking money out of "my (pho)paycheck and your paycheck (mine) to care andcover the old peole.... those are words a doctor should NEVER use he is a doctor to help others not judge them and be plain cruel in my opinion he shouldnt even be or be called a doctor

My husband and I have used him for several years. Most appointments there is no wait. He will spend a lot of time discussing problems. He will discuss using supplements with me as I am more natural and help my husband with his prescriptions.He will always listen and will follow up.

Dr Pho is extremely knowledgeable and he doesn't just prescribe medication. He will discuss the actual cause and tell you what lifestyle changes can effect your future health. Some doctors I have had in the past just prescribe and never talk about what the problem is and how we got to this point.

If you are tired of doctors who just get you in and out as quickly as possible then Dr. Pho may be the right Dr. for you. The office is no frills and Dr. Pho can be a bit dry but he is incredibly thorough and thoughtful and I never ever fell rushed. He is an excellent listener and takes his time.
