Dr. Lucas Harmon Bradley, MD

Well I’m no guest speaker but I do believe in miracles now. I hurt my lower back really bad by not taking better care of my self as I was getting older. I’m a 62 year old hobby bee keeper which in it self is a hard job with lots of heavy lifting. I had pain in lower back and down both legs. Then the pain moved to the left leg and got much worse. It moved down my leg into my foot then my foot started getting numb. I can’t describe the fear I had knowing how serious I was hurt and ever worse I had no insurance. I went to the ER where they took a cat scan that showed 3 bulging disc with the worst bulging out onto the nerves,pushing them against my spinal canal. Until your there the fear and pain can not be described. They sent me on my way with zero offer of help at Ozark Medical Center West Plains Mo. I went to my G.P who examined me and said, this needs fixed. I told him I don’t have insurance and had no way to get it fixed. And I then went home to be a cripple with no chance of help.… Well my doctor called a neurosurgeon named Lucas Bradley of Mountain Home Ar. His office called me but I had gotten a new phone with new number. So they sent me a letter asking if I would like to come see dr Bradley. The next day I called. They said could I come in tomorrow, wow that was fast and then said he was going to be in west plains I couldn’t believe it. I showed up and he looked at my cat scan and said the disk was completely blown out pinching off the nerves and needed corrected now. His nurse said I will schedule him in next week if you want, He said no this needs fixed now. I told him I had no insurance he said they would work with me and call the hospital to schedule the surgery. The hospital said without insurance they couldn’t schedule it. I went home thinking it was over but, at 8:00 am the hospital called saying to get there ASAP for pre- op screening and surgery would be the very next morning at 8:00 am. The doctor told them how serious my condition was,that it had to be fixed now We got there for pre screening and they told us we had a room reserved for us at the quality Inn and it was paid for. I believe the doctor paid for it so we would have to travel back home then back for surgery. We went in the next morning for surgery and went home the same afternoon. I was amazed how good I felt. A couple days later my pain in my butt and hip was still bad so my wife called and they ordered steroids for the inflammation on the nerve roots. After a couple days of steroids it was like a magical show playing out as I watched my pain disappear then my foot being able to move then the foot getting stronger being able to walk and move my foot. Knowing only because of a very compassionate Doctor that truly cares for people that I had my mobility back again. And would be ok. What a wonderful human and Doctor Lucas Bradley is. We thank you from the bottom of our heart. And last but not least. Baxter Regional hospital was so very long and caring. The hospital was extremely clean. And all the staff was very kind and caring. They don’t just put on a act. They really do care.

Dr Bradley and his staff treated me with utmost respect, have improved my quality of life with the spinal fusion. Can't say enough for how grateful I am. Thank you

Dr's Bradley and Gocio are both great. They explain everything, listen intently and never speak down to you. And Brandi Anderson is knowledgeable, and compassionate . This group is just wonderful!
