Dr. Lucas R. Collazo, MD

He performed a CABG on me (Oct 2001-Fairfax). Gave me no info' made no follow up visit' no prognosis. I learned that surgery was unsuccesful from a cardilogist, not to mention continued maltiple ichemia. Two months later I had to have stents placed and. few yesrs later 'stent in stent'' ' ten years later second bypass. Is he that bad? I dunno: judge for yourself. Maybe mine is different' because I am Muslim.

Dr. Collazo performed heart surgery on my son at 1 week old, and was FABULOUS. He is an amazing surgeon and I was lucky to be the hospital where he and his team are located.

When our toddler needed open heart surgery we met with and talked with top surgeons from Boston to D.C.. Dr. Shen gave us all the confidence that shaky parents needed. He expertly repaired a harder than expected pair of heart defects in our 18 month old son.

Thank you for not giving up. Thank you for the love of what u do! I pray to God every night for u and ur family for sharing their love one of many hours with people like me and Adam. My heart bleed for joy for u doing all u possibly could and can for my son! Thank You God for giving Dr. L. Collazo the knowledge and strength to do what he does.

Dr. Collazo is the dr you want to operate on your loved ones who were born with heart issues. My daughter has had 5 open heart surgeries, and Dr. Collazo did the the last 2 of them. She is a complicated, complex case and he always comes through for us in a pinch with ways to save her life through his knowledge of congenital heart defects and aftercare as an adult.

I have never been treated so poorly by any Dr. The treatment of the office staff, their poor communication, both with myself and interoffice. Every time I called I was greeted with attitude and disrespect. The entire process for me was just horrid.. 2.5 months of waiting for "results", and consults, referring me to an "affiliated" practice who is just as terrible. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy...
