Great doctor .. Great bedside manner ... I was taken to the emergency room in unbelievable pain for Kidney stones and they called Dr. Jacomides ... he explained everything and all the options and he did a procedure the next day .. I've been pain free since. George S.

I had a vasectomy with Dr. Jacomides. The staff is friendly and he seems to be an okay person, but I feel like it's good to at least briefly share my particular bad experience in case it could help others similar to me. I have rated it 1 star from my particular experience, but I'm sure others could have better experiences and so it shouldn't reflect all cases. I have moderate anxiety issues (nothing obvious or would be detected with blood pressure/heartrate reading). This was my first surgery being fully conscious and without any sort of relaxant, they just injected at the site itself for pain. I strongly advise men with any sort of anxiety to make sure your vasectomy will offer something beyond just the numbing injection. Dr. Jacomides was way too open about what was happening in his head, particularly the indecision he was having about whether to return back to the left side after I had a more intense "kick in the balls" grunt for the right side (he noted both sides should've… felt like that). It almost felt like he was asking for my opinion, which makes some sense since it's not a comfortable procedure, but I wish I wasn't included in the decision making. He noted that he didn't want to have to be doing this again at a later date, which he was inferring that I wouldn't want it either, but he worded it more like it would've been an inconvenience to him. Then later after he did repeat doing the other side, he vocalized a bit of how he wasn't sure if he made the right decision to go back. Also to note for some who might not like dirty jokes, Dr. Jacomides talked over the first part of the surgery sharing a dirty joke that had a brief mention of religion as part of it. I tried to laugh along with it but I was too anxious from the strange sensations intermixed with pain to pay attention. The joke wasn't particularly offensive to me and I think his intention was to have my mind off of the surgery, but for me I would've much preferred something like yoga meditation music on a cheap bluetooth speaker to help ease my mind. The stress had caused me to have acid reflux towards the end, so he did the stitches as quickly as he could. When done, he quickly left noting I looked white as a sheet or something to that effect. That was the last I heard from him, so I just talked with the assistant before going on my way. It's been almost a month since. I spent a few days in bed to help with the recovery (I strongly advise taking off of work for a few days). I was able to tolerate the small bits of pain with minimum medicine except for a few nights later I was in severe pain that wasn't being helped much with aspirin and ibuprofen. Thankfully it eased itself away over the following day. Hopefully for the follow up in 3 months the procedure will have been a success just with the very uncomfortable experience.

I'm a nit-picky retired nurse leader so it would be simple for me to find fault in anyone in healthcare... but what I found in Dr. Jacomides office is an efficient well organized team of healthcare professionals who I trust. Two visits, both exceptional.

The entire team is fantastic. I went in for some pain in my kidney and blood found within the urine. It was quickly diagnosed, properly, as a kidney stone and treated within days. Stacy deserves a special mention. She is the office manager and she's wonderful. That's a rarity. She's efficient, understanding, helpful, positive and upbeat. Everything you hope for when you walk into a medical clinic. Dr. Jacomides is also fantastic. Very personable yet equally technical. He listens well, ensures that the dialogue runs down a two way street then puts together a plan to treat you. From top to bottom, including the other staff as well, you couldn't ask for more. Peter

i would not recommend him at all. I had two surgeries with him. then went back to the emergency room 6 different times after the surgeries. I was told in his report that he was at a pass he didnt know what to do to fix my problem. so i went to another doctor he diagnosed me rite away doctor jacomides said he didnt agree with this new doctor iam waiting to be seen by yet another doc at scott and white in temple. doctor jacomidessaid originally i would be off work for a week maybe two well it has been 4 months off work lost my job and iam in worst pain now since before the surgery so in my opinion i would not recommend him at all the hospital he works at is nice but i wouldnt go to that doctor again ever

I've seen Dr. Jacomides a number of times. I can attest that he is very nice. He took the time to explain the surgical procedure he performed on me in a way that a layperson could understand. If you need a urologist, I recommend him very highly.
