Dr. Lucia Smith Morey, MD

Dr. Morey offers so many options that she appears indecisive and incomptetent. The patient must make the decision of the appropriate next step in their care. It is great that she spends so much time with her patients reviewing everything and it is a partnership; however, when you wait 3 to 6 months to see a specialist you expect the doctor to have specialized medical training and experience to decide the appropriate next step of treatment. Dr. Morey offers no direction to the patient. You might as well put the options in a hat and draw one out. Unfortunately with autoimmune drugs it takes 8 to 16 weeks to figure out if you made the right decision. If the patient chooses wrong because they have no medical training they end suffering longer and longer while the disease progresses more and more waiting to try the next option that you are just guessing at. Then it is too hard to get a follow up appointment while you are miserably suffering. Negative about practice is you can't… change providers/doctors when requested. In fact they tell you too bad - leave the practice if you want to try a new doctor. Of course this is not in all of the forms you sign and you are not told this when you book your first appointment. So chose your doctor in this practice wisely when you book your first appointment because you are married to the doctor.

She is a kind and considerate doctor, who seems well-knowleged in her field. She is able and willing to kindly deal with my mother, who suffers from dementia and is loud and repetitive; as well as asking me questions and managing my visit and medications.
