Dr. Luciano Jose Megale Costa, MD

He’s a great physician, but the way he degrades his staff is disheartening. It was never supposed to be heard, but he talks to nursing staff like they are dogs. They are the ones actually DO everything. He would have no idea how to follow through with his orders if it wasn’t for all of my amazing nurses. I know the nursing side of things as my daughter is a nurse. I truly appreciate everything he has done, but if he could talk to his staff the way he would want to be spoken to that’d be great. He’s had a GOD complex. He is DISGUSTING to me after I’ve seen a whole different side of him.

Dr. Costa has treated me for the past three years, through my initial diagnosis of an incurable blood cancer to the recommended stem cell transplant and the ongoing maintenance therapy to push back relapse. No question or concern of mine has ever been too trivial or irrelevant to answer and his initial serious nature has softened with familiarity to reveal a true professional of warmth and compassion. He has my implicit trust and I would highly recommend any patient look past his shyness to recognize the depth of his knowledge and expertise.

Seemed uninterested in symptoms/concerns and more emphasis put on going out of the country for a month and wanting to wait until his return. Didn't like questions asked and seemed offended by wanting answers. Don't question him!! Could care less about pain control when needed,rather have a pain management doctor handle...whatever!!! Would not recommend!!
