Summary

Lucien Nedzi, M.D., joined UT Southwestern Medical Centers Department of Radiation Oncology in 2008 as Associate Professor, Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, and Medical Director. He holds a masters degree in applied physics from Stanford University and earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. In 1989 he received an American Cancer Society research fellowship to study better ways to shape radiation fields for applications in stereotactic radiosurgery. He completed his residency training in radiation oncology at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, Harvard Medical School, in Boston. Prior to joining the faculty at UT Southwestern, Dr. Nedzi held faculty appointments at both Tulane University and Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He still enjoys spending time in the Big Easy whenever possible. Dr. Nedzi focuses his practice on the treatment of head and neck cancers, as well as brain cancers and brain metastases. "I chose it partly because its very challenging, and partly because of the mentorship of Jay Loeffler, M.D., of Massachusetts General Hospital and Rodney Million, M.D., of the University of Florida [both nationally recognized authorities in therapeutic radiology]," Dr. Nedzi says. Motivated by the need to find better cures for his head and neck patients, Dr. Nedzi has been an active clinical investigator throughout his career and is currently the institutional investigator at UT Southwestern for the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). Dr. Nedzi has published numerous articles in medical journals including American Journal of Medical Science and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. His contributions include several articles on the subject of stereotactic radiosurgery, and he is the co-author of a leading textbook on stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT, also known as stereotactic ablative radiotherapy or SABR).

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
