Dr. Lucinda Ann Halstead, MD

My visit with Dr. Halstead was good. She asked my history and questions about my situation and seemed to really care that she find results of the problem. Showed compassion and time for my questions. Thank you and I hope this next visit coming up will get the results. The nurses was also nice and caring.

Does not have understand and passion for special need children, has not solved the problem with our child, will not make the proper referrals needed.

I have seen Dr. Halstead several times and have nothing but praise over this woman! She is funny, helpful, & very knowledgeable. She preformed surgery on my throat around my vocal cords and didn't hesitate. I had another surgery from a different Dr. in Sumter S.C. - what a joke compared to this Angel with a scalpel. I wanted her hat after surgery, now thats the first time she said no. LOL

After seeing a ENT doctor here in town and that surgery being needed but with useless results, I was lucky to be referred to Dr. Halstead. I absolutely LOVE this woman! I wish I could find a family doctor as awesome as she is. I mean come on, she has a wing at MUSC named in her honor! That;s alone is impressive. I actually look forward to my 2 hour drive just to be seen by hands down the best at least in the state!

To be in pediatrics, we felt her bedside manner was really lacking. She gave our son a prescription that the insurance would not cover the way she wrote it without her faxing them a request. After two attempts from our pharmacy, I called the insurance company only to discover she never filled out the form and faxed it. I am very disappointed we drove 3 1/2 hours for this visit.
