Dr. Lucio Alessandro Pavone, MD

I went to Dr. Pavone in the final stage of surgeries to remove my breast tissue due to a family history of breast cancer. Before meeting him, I had a doctor who had performed my mastectomy and I wanted to change doctors due to insurance and customer service issues with my former doctor (not Dr. Pavone). I could not find any doctor that was willing to take on the liability of a patient who had already had a mastectomy and needed their tissue expanders removed. This changed when I met Dr. Pavone. Dr. Pavone was a godsend. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, positive and he has a wonderful bedside manner. Today, I have silicone implants and a one percent chance of breast cancer because of him. I am happy with the shape and his work (my breasts never were this pretty, even when I was young and they were real!). Prior to surgery, it was a completely happy and lighthearted experience – He came in and talked to us like he was a friend. He puts you completely at ease and I was always… confident that he was doing the best work that a doctor could provide for breast reconstruction. He honestly exceeded my expectations at all levels. I want women who are seeking breast tissue removal / reconstruction for breast cancer prevention to understand that it’s a process and you want an A+ doctor in the beginning in an optimal setting. It is hard to change doctors midway through things. I wish I had started out with Dr. Pavone, rather than met him in the end. I was never worried about insurance issues with Dr. Pavone (his office seamlessly takes care of everything) and his staff members are also exceptional people. The entire team was at the top of their game and I always was treated with kindness and informed of the next steps at all times. I cannot recommend Dr. Pavone enough. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t met him and I wish I had found him at the outset of my mastectomy surgeries. If you are searching for an excellent breast reconstruction cosmetic surgeon, stop here. Dr. Pavone is the best in his field and he is as kind and sociable as they come. You will love him.

I recently had a double mastectomy performed by Dr. Lucio A Pavone. To be honest I was petrified! I was fearful I would have "botched" reconstruction surgery as you hear so many horror stories. Dr. Pavone performed my DIEP flap for breast reconstruction. He does amazing work and I couldn't be more happy with my results. He is very patient, has an excellent bedside manner and is a very skilled microsurgeon. I had given up on my first plastic surgeon when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was desperate to find a skillful plastic surgeon and am so happy and relieved that Dr. Pavone took over my care. I love my results. His nurse Amy is so helpful and kind and his office staff is very friendly.
