Dr. Lucy Budde, MD

I love Dr. Budde! I have had many chronic illnesses for over a year with symptoms getting worse by the day. My health was rapidly declining and my current doctor was not exploring the root cause. I then switched from a Valley View doctor to Dr Budde for help as I noticed that she specialized in function health. I have seen Dr. Budde three times now. In this short time with the identification of underlying issues and treatment, I am finally on the path of feeling better. In a few short weeks the pendulum is moving in the right direction. I am so thankful we have an amazing functional doctor here in Rifle!

I haven't been a patient of Dr. Budde's for a few years now but felt compelled to write this long overdue review. I tend to have high hopes and do a lot of research for all my physicians, and more often than not, unfortunately I find myself disappointed. For years however, I was lucky to have Dr. Budde as my PCP. Leaving aside Kaiser related limitations and the quality of other team members, Dr. Budde is by far the best PCP I've ever had. I no longer have Kaiser and have struggled to find another high quality physician like herself - I truly miss having her in my corner! Over the years, I've seen a number of providers in and outside of the the Kaiser network, and hands down she is the best. She is VERY knowledgable and a great resource, willing to hear you out entirely and takes a genuine interest in your well being, does her best to cover all your concerns every time, treats patients as people who she wants to help succeed instead of problems that need solving, has great bedside… manner and is capable of keeping you honest without being judgmental, and is prompt with prescriptions and lab results; for years I never felt rushed by her personally even when the office was very clearly running behind. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Budde, she is truly wonderful and a skilled physician.

Dr. Budde became my primary care provider by chance (I usually like to read a lot of reviews before picking a doctor, but she was the only one available when I called to schedule, so I didn't have much choice). However, I feel so lucky because Dr. Budde is probably the best doctor I have been to. Ever. She spent a lot more time with me than most doctors I've seen, and I felt like she really listened to what I was saying, provided good advice, and referred me to a couple of specialists based on some of my complaints. Her bed side manner was very polite, and she was able to earn my trust and respect quickly. I also really appreciated that she isn't the kind of doctor that just throws a bunch of pills at you hoping something works. I look forward to my next visit with her and finding out if some of the lifestyle changes she's suggested help solve some of my issues.

She has a caring personality and is a great professional who actually listens to your concerns. Easy to work together while solving medical problems--she gives helpful suggestions and is available for follow-ups.
