Dr. Lucy Ruwitch Langer, MD

Dr. Langer treated me like a case number, never an individual with feelings. She could not have cared less about me as a person. When I had side-effects from chemo, she acted like I was being a big baby over it. I transferred to a different oncologist and am so much happier with my care.

I find Dr. Langer to be very intelligent and she always treats me with respect. She is concise in her manner which I find refreshing. She listens to what I have to say and offers up options and ideas. I am quite happy she is my physician.

Lucy Langer made many mistakes regarding my diagnosis and care. Failure to order pathology reports. Starting chemo without final pathology only to learn that it was not indicated. Attempts to avoid and hide her sloppy work. And finally, in the face of all of this malpractice she was hostile and blaming of me the patient who simply wanted a clear diagnosis and treatment. She basic compassion and has not learned to at least fake it.

I'm sure Lucy Langer is very intelligent, but her bedside manner is not her forte. I felt like just another patient in her presence, with no regard for me as a person. She was not correct regarding my diagnosis even with my records and made me somewhat defensive when she questioned some of my testing requested by 2 other doctors. I would never recommend her.
