Dr. Lucy Tan, MD

Misdiagnosed cancer of the colon-said it was a milk allergy for 8 months. Forgot to offer flu vaccine. Very arrogant and unknowledgeable- Rude and lies.

Concerned with the care she is giving my Mother. Manyyy concerns. I will be trying to find my Mother another Dr.

I am very impressed with Dr. Lucy Tan and with the care she has provided my mother, recently and through the years. My mother had emergency surgery while traveling out of state. Upon my mother's return to Wichita Falls, my mother, sister, and I went to see Dr. Tan with several medical issues, one of which involved ongoing medical care for my mother's new health issue. Dr. Tan was very polite, made good eye contact, and listened as we shared with her my mother's recent health issues. Dr. Tan asked appropriate questions, demonstrating kindness and caring, during the entire visit. Her physical exam of my mother was thorough and she assisted my mother on the exam table. At the end of the visit, Dr. Tan provided an excellent plan for my mother, she even completed paperwork after the appointment and returned it to us, which expedited my mother's care. I would have been fine if it took a couple of days to complete the paperwork, but just as thorough as her exam had been, Dr. Tan was just as… thorough in completing the paperwork, ordering necessary labs, writing a prescription, ordering outside care, and letting us know she was available for any future questions. I feel fully qualified to make the above statements as I am a physician assistant and am protective of my mother. I was very pleased with Dr. Tan's qualities and give her 4 out of 4. Thank you for the opportunity to share how wonderful Dr. Tan is.

Dr. Tan does not know how to recognize problems her patients are having. Her staff is very incompetent as is Dr. Tan. Stay away from this doctor if you can. Her nurse does not return calls or follow through on what she is supposed to do. Try to find a doctor who specializes in internal medicine instead of family practice. They are more qualified.

Dr. Tan seems to put on blinders when she makes her diagnosis and she thinks her patient brings everything on themselves. Especially if the patient has ever had an alcoholic drink. Dr. Tan seems to see red if the patient ever states that he has the occasional drink. I would never recommend this dr.
