Dr. Ludmil Kirilov Manov, MD

I have seen Dr. Manov over an 18 month timeframe, working to get the right medication(s) to mitigate my medication-resistant mental health condition. The timeframe should NOT concern anyone as it represents Dr. Manov's focus on fully managing one's condition. Dr. Manov uses specific documentation of one's condition, bringing in outside perspectives (spouse, close observers of one's condition (friends) to truly determine one's progress (or lack thereof and need for further medication needs).

Dr Manov has taken great care of me for years. I am a much better person because of his help!

Dr. Manov has been my Psychiatrist for over 10 years. I went to him after seeing several other doctors over a 20 year period with no improvement dealing with deep depression and debilitating anxiety. Dr. Manov was quick to diagnose me with bipolar disorder. A proper diagnosis made a huge difference in treating me correctly and with the proper medication. I already knew it takes time for medications to work and get the best one at the right dose. I was amazed how he chose the right kind for me right away and I had great results within a couple of months. He worked closely with me week after week to fine tune the best medications and right dose adjusting the dose as needed. I was able to see him right away when I needed to or talk to him by phone when I needed help a little sooner. Dr. Manov has shown me great care and concern for my well-being and helping me have the best quality of life possible. I had struggled terribly for over 20 years going to many other Psychiatrists before I… found him. I feel better now than I have my entire adult life. I highly recommend Dr. Manov to anyone willing to take his advice, take the medication he prescribes as he tells you to and be aware it does take time for all things to come together for the best results possible. I know from years of experiences and going to other well-meaning doctors that help is possible and a better life is available to those who will do things as prescribed. Dr. Manov is by far the best Psychiatrist I have ever found.

I have never found a psychiatrist quite like Dr. Manov; and I have been to many in the 30+ years I have looked. That includes doctors in LA when I lived there and now here. Manov may not be a warm and fuzzy, but if that is what you want. keep looking. He thinks fast ( two or more steps faster than the patient. If you think this is rude. you don't get it or maybe you haven't suffered enough to really give him a try Knowing he is from a different country may give you a hint, he is not exactly like you. Again, if you don't have patience to allow him to treat you, too bad for you. I had very little hope of getting out of the deep hole of unyielding depression. fearful anxiety and more. At first I was not sure what to think about Manov, but had to give him and me a try, He diagnosed with not only the troubles all ready, but with Bipolar. No one ever had, so we began an new regiment of meds (and it does take time) I have never felt better. Very little depression, and not often And no more… irritability. I was always told that was due to depression. I was always, always irritable no longer. Thank you Dr. Manov

Spent about a half an hour trying to explain to the so called “Doctor” that a certain medication wasn’t working for me. He did now listen to a word I said and already had in mind was is diagnosis was going to be. He had no intent on having an open discourse. He spent 15 minutes with me and we got no where. He wouldn’t listen to my problems and had a poor attitude the whole time. Terrible doctor and listener in my opinion. I will be seeking another doctor.

Dr Ludmil Manov is the single worst doctor I have ever seen. Not only was he EXTREMELY uncaring, unless he heard the word "suicide", he would blow off all feelings like they were nothing. He prescribed me medicine for an illness I have since learned I never had at age 8 that caused me to gain 100 pounds, which damaged my life in more ways than one and still affects me today. I would not see him even if I were paid to do so, and I recommend anyone who is considering using his services to do the same.

Dr. Manov called and reported the findings of my childs blood work to me. Great!
