Dr Afonicheva has been taken care of my mother, my daughter and myself for years. Very intelligent, personable and kind. Excellent bedside manners and follow ups. Couldn’t be happier.

Unfortunately, I have negative experience with this doctor. Firstly, the phones indicated in the contacts are not updated. This may be a slight inconvenience, but it serves as the first indicator of the organization of work of the doctor’s office. The second one. An assistant who receives calls from patients immediately switches to communication in Russian if he feels the accent of the caller. It seems to be convenient on the one hand, but not professionally. When I inquired about the name and surname of the person I turned to, the answer came that I did not need to know this. I could not assume that this was just an introduction to what follows. Appointment arriving you come to a rather old and unattractive building, reminiscent of rural outpatient clinics of the 70s in the former USSR. The doctor’s manner of communication is rather rude and she allows herself to say something about a patient like shut up and don’t get smart. There are no special complaints to the… professional side - the doctor personally did blood sampling fences and an electrocardiogram. Perhaps the office does not have or at that time did not have medical assistants. Another negative point is that they do not call from the office with reminders on the eve of the appointed appendix and there is no control over the resumption of pharmacological prescriptions. When I needed to buy the prescribed medication in Rite Aid, there was no doctor's confirmation for the second time. I called the office to talk to the doctor about the problem, but they told me that the doctor is not talking or calling back to his patients. Then I said that I would be forced to exchange this family doctor for another, more responsible, recalling that the doctor’s salary consists of my insurance premiums. The assistant asked, she decided to scare me, and asked if she could pass my words to Dr. Afonicheva verbatim. The answer was positive. For the next two days, I was left without taking the prescribed medications, and on the third day they called from Rite Aid and said that the doctor had refused the medication prescribed to me. I believe that Dr. Afonicheva has crossed all ethical and professional standards. I part with her upset, but without regret.

Ludmilla visited me everyday I was at Torrance Memorial. She is kind, patient, and professional. The best!

Dr. Afonicheva has been my physician for years. She is very thorough, accommodating, very professional and kind. Her staff are very helpful. My visits with her were always pleasant experiences.
