Dr. Luigina Vlad, MD

While Dr. Vlad spent a lot of time with me during my first appt discussing all of my concerns they were almost instantly disregarded. She had me endure 3 biopsies on the same thyroid nodule to rule out cancer but once the results came back negative she lost all interest. Her receptionist is the worst, rude and disrespectful. Incredibly dismissive. I won't be going back.

Dr. Vlad is an outstanding endocrinologist. She is very knowledgeable, and patient, spending sufficient time to help ensure that I have a good understanding of what steps to take. Very highly recommended.

While the dated waiting room did make me want to bolt for the door, I am glad that I did not. Dr. Vlad was kind, courteous and was extremely thorough in her review of the medical records I brought with me and in taking my history. I think she spent time the appropriate amount of time with me and expressed an opinion on my condition at the end of this first visit. She sent me for a blood test and an ultrasound to confirm her assumptions. And, as those tasks have now been completed, I plan to make my second appointment during which, she advised, she will review the tests, diagnose the severity of the condition and discuss my treatment options with me (just like good old fashioned doctors used to do). I like her! Although, her receptionist was very direct, it appeared that she was merely not familiar with American social graces. I thought the receptionist was always trying to be helpful: although she probably rarely succeeded.

Let's start with her office; It is old and outdated. She is the only dr there, and has one staff member that works all day every day. Her staf member is not a nurse, has a thick accent, has lied to my face, and is RUDE. Now let's get to the dr, she is condescending and acts like she is the authority on medicine. the problem is she lacks knowledge. She critisized other docs i had seen when she herself lacked knowledge on basic male functions and hormones like . save your copay and go elsewhere.

Dr. Vlad is a truly amazing physician. She is very thorough in her prognosis and in her explanation of treatment options. I love that she made me feel positive even with a difficult diagnosis. My only complaint is not with Dr. Vlad, but rather with her sole receptionist/office assistant. Dr. Vlad is often booked solid, and waiting for a cancellation is time consuming, thus her receptionist's non-friendly attitude makes for a less than easy appointment process. She is professional but not the most pleasant person to deal with. That being said, it is only a small gripe, and will not prevent me from continuing to see Dr. Vlad.

I am a patient of Dr. Vlad, who I find to be an outstanding, intelligent and caring physician. I am extremely satisfied with the care I receive from her. She is very thorough, patient and compassionate. She answers my questions and does not treat me as if I'm on the clock, so I never feel rushed nor am I rushed out of her office. She is the best doctor that I have ever been a patient of. The first time I went to her office, I actually asked her if she was always that patient, thorough, and willing to answer questions. Fortunately for me, I have visited her several times as a patient and she is still the same doctor, I first visited. She explains everything clearly, and is willing to repeat if that is what you need her to do. She is very dedicated to her profession and her patients. She has called me to discuss test results after her business hours and even on weekends. I asked her if she took vacations, she laughs. I am very blessed to have been sent to her. I feel very… blessed and am confident that she will give and seek the best care possible for me. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Vlad. I am also happy with the experienced surgeon she recommended, to perform my thyroid cancer surgery. I thank Dr. Vlad for her care, treatment and concern. I recommend Dr. Vlad highly to anyone who need her specialized care.
