My first visit, was met with highest-level of professionalism, care, and genuine warmth that truly set both of them at Tryon Medical Partners apart from my previous care team at Novant Ballantyne. I have a feeling that with all of our cohesive collaboration, both of them will go above and beyond to ensure I am not only well taken care of, but also fully informed and at ease. Whether it's answering questions with patience, managing prescriptions efficiently, or simply offering a friendly smile. It is very clear that Dr. Luis and his team are committed to excellence—not just in the technical aspects of their work, but in creating a supportive environment; I deeply appreciate this. Dr. Luis is highly engaged with my health(referrals, specialists (their reports sent to him), over their portal txt/msging. Promptness, good advice and… patient listening while interacting in-person and/or responding to my queries. GLAD I moved my care team FROM Novant ->Tryon Medical !!

This dr. seemed rushed and made me feel like he really didn't want to see me. Didn't even bring my chart in (laptop) so had to yell down the hall to get his nurse to answer simple questions. No real exam. Told me what my symptoms were and rushed me out.

Would not let me answer questions and cut my answers off before I could finish even a single sentence. Seemed to have a diagnosis ready without listening or doing any real exam. Was very rushed and seemed even angry at having to see me.

Went in for a routine physical and a prescription refill. Bendezu had zero bedside manner, super short visit and would not write a prescription visit and told me to call when I neededa refill. I called back had to call 3 different times and they still could not figure out how to refill it. He recommended a specialist to go in their network which I had already seen in the past but did not take my insurance. 4 Phone calls later I still have not had my prescription filled and I will never go back and will gladly pay the $100 for a new patient visit elsewhere than to go back to this practice. Very unrpofessional and I would definitely not recommend this practice to anyone.

I really enjoyed having Dr. Bendezu as my doc. He's quick and too the point and gets you in and out. He's got a personality which I enjoyed. I feel he's very knowledgeable about many subjects in his field as well. I trust him.

Dr Bendezu is an excellent doctor - I find him and his staff to be very effecient and attentive to his patients. Most importantly he remembers his patients - rare to find these days.

Saw the man yesterday. Had a little mixup because someone on the appointment line told me I didn't have to fast for some bloodwork when I in fact did, but they rescheduled that stuff for me and besides the doctor isn't the one who told me. Really nice guy, no-nonsense, not condescending, and when I asked him an obscure question about a tube of facial cream I was using he actually knew all about the study that I had read the previous week on the internet. Either he got really lucky with the answer, or he is REALLY keeping up to date with the latest medical news- the guy is an general internist not a dermatologist for pete's sake! Only met him once but would recommend him to my own mother or friends in a heartbeat.

First and only appointment was for annual preventative physical. He hardly made eye contact. He spend more time looking at his computer screen while asking me closed ended questions. He asked if I had any issues or health concerns. I said "no". He then proceeded to order a bunch of unnecessary tests that he knew my insurance company would not cover under preventative visits. I think he was deliberately trying to rack up the bill. I will not be going back.
