I drove around aimlessly trying to find this office that did not exist. I ended up at 2 separately Valley facilities over 40 miles apart with Lee Valley employees trying to find the address that was given to me printed out by Lee Valley with a phone number printed out by Lee Valley for my. After a wasting 50 something dollars in gas having my records over nighted which cost $50 I miss my appointment never found the office and called and called and called and finally got an answer in the lady said the phone lines were being worked on. Not only that she admitted the address was wrong and will have to be changed. As a chronic pain patient this did nothing but aggravate the entire situation and on top of that I spent over a $100 trying to get there and wasted over 2 hours of my day and got nothing but complete frustration and aggravation out of this office.

I had a similar experience to one of the other reviewers here. At my first visit he "knew" what my issue was. He said we'd schedule surgery after I had one more MRI and then address another issue he said concerned him very much (an issue that turned out not to exist). By the next appointment he acted as though I was requesting surgery for fun, changed his mind about the etiology of my problem, blamed my symptoms on something else entirely, and claimed I no longer needed surgery. He claimed that since I "had no symptoms", we'd let it go - meanwhile I had MANY symptoms, all of which I had told him about in great detail. Everything about the second visit confused me, since the problem I had was not only extremely symptomatic, but incredibly visible and obvious on the MRI's. Luckily I had already scheduled a 2nd opinion with another neurosurgeon. When I got there they told me that I could have gone blind or slipped into a coma if I had not received treatment, a surgery which they promptly… scheduled after several more tests. Oh, and side note: the condition Dr. Cervantes "knew" I had was an inaccurate diagnosis anyway.

I traveled to Tijuana from Canada for a sleeve gastrectomy and was incredibly impressed with the personal treatment, face-to-face communication (although Eduardo had to translate,) and confident, compassionate care given by Dr. Cervantes. I would send anybody I know to see him for bariatric treatment! Also, he is available online (even to me, in Canada) with responses to any questions or concerns people have. He gets back to you within 24 hours most times!

Best Dr. Ever! Very easy to make an appointment with. Is very knowledgeable in his field. Left me with no pain :-)

Horrible. Following surgery, I had an emergency. When my wife called him after hours, he said to her, "I hope you realize what an inconvenience it is that your husband is having an emergency on a Friday night". I then was sent to local ER and he would not return their call for almost 48 hours!

The first time I met with Dr. Cervantes I was very optimistic he could help me. However, at my next visit, he pulled a complete 180 and said there was really nothing he could do for me. I was so shocked I left without asking "why." I returned with my husband for another visit and to find out what had changed his mind and Dr. Cervantes spoke to my husband THE WHOLE TIME. He barely looked at or paid attention to me even though I WAS THE PATIENT and I was the one asking questions. Overall a very unpleasant and unhelpful experience.

Left me crippled too and didnt care just excused himself from being my doctor. How rude and unprofessional.
