I am a CARE GIVER and I Will NEVER recomend my worst enemy to see this DOCTOR??? in to that LIttle Smelly Old converted house!!! I strongly belive that Medicare should AUDIT him, based on his FEES and the time he SPEND with the PATIENTS>>>Remember ORTEGA they are HUMAN !!! get it???

This Doctor seems stretched way too thin.He spends no time with patient of Family member/caregiver of patient. He does not return phone calls for a week when he has patient in the hospital. And when you can ask him a question his answer is a 'put on' or a 'put down'and he always seems to be rushed. His Hospital, Spring Mountain Sahara, is the worst. Staff is uncaring, uninformed, and unwilling to communicate. This Doctor and Hospital USED TO BE much better. Both need self evaluation.

He is a doctor that stretches himself very thin and only works 4 days a week from 1-4pm and if you miss him then you are screwed. I've been a patient of his for several years and I'm grateful that old enough and I'm able to weed out Rx's that he would like me to take and the ones I know I need to take. He doesn't remember pertinent things like what my chronic illness is and what type of treatment I've taken i.e. Interferon studies for hepatitis. That to me and any psychiatrist should know that about their patient since interferon causes depression. His office is in an old house that's very small and in the middle of the summer you can sweat like a pig in his office while you wait for your timed 10 minute appointment. I've waited for over 2 hours for him to get to me and then he always has an intern that sits in with you. That doesn't bother me because it has helped me when I've had a female intern in there with me and she came to bat for me about some female trouble. I had a terrible… experience with one of his nurses because I asked for a prescription to be refilled and so that meant I was a druggie who was selling their pills. She told me that I'm on a DEA's list and I am being watched. I was a bit hysterical when she said that to me so i called a nurse that does know me through another doctor of mine and i had her look up names on the DEA list and I wasn't on it. I had a feeling I wasn't because i don't doctor shop or any of that crazy business. I told the doctor about it the next time I saw him, which is about every six months, and he apologized and of course the nurse wasn't his. I knew that i had never heard her name B4 or seen her so i thought it was weird. That may have been a case of a lady who was in a terrible mood and needed to mess up someone else's life. It didn't work but it did make me angry. Psychiatry in this country has gone down hill and there are no places that take Medicare for any type of real therapy. I haven't had a psychiatrist in years that actually spoke to me and gave me advice. I think their job description has changed to just writing lots of prescriptions.
