Dr. Luis Eduardo Palacio, MD

He did an out pt. surgery on my toes without me being numb yet. (I had a toenail removed years prior to this and it was not painful at all. Except the shots smart a little. So, I know how it should feel.) I was given about 5 numbing shots on each toe, 2-3 at first, then more later when he started working on them and I could still feel everything like I had no shots. Labor pains were easier to handle than that. He said I was "just being a baby" and proceeded anyhow. Also, he'd tell me to hold still when my leg would spasm on it's own due to the pain from cauterizing the sides of my toenails.

I felt like just another pay check. He wouldnt listen, wouldn't refer me to a doctor of my choice. Made me want a new doctor. Terrible.

I like Dr. Palacio as a family practitioner. I have been going to him for a while now. Over the past few months I am seeing a negative change in the way his office is being run, and how he does business is no longer acceptable. I have noticed over the past few months that the wait time when arriving for your scheduled appointment has been getting longer and longer. You come twenty minutes early, and then wait past your appointment time 15 minutes or longer, and then wait another 15 minutes or longer in the little exam room they put you in. When you call his office, you usually have to record a message, because the staff are to busy to answer the phone. The recorded message states that they say will call you back. They never do. So you just have to keep calling and hope you get someone or just give up. The big problem is his office is that his follow up policy is really bad. Recently I needed a MRI due to a painful ongoing pinched nerve in my upper… back. I was able to get in to see the doctor earlier than my scheduled appointment due to a cancelation. I arrived 15 minutes early. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time. And almost an hour in the exam room. After my examanation which took maybe 10 minutes I waited another 15 minutes while Dr. Palacio was logging in my information.. Dr. Palacio's nurse came into the exam room and said Dr. Palacio would schedule the Mri and for me to expect a call within a few days to make the appointment. She said he would put a rush on it. That was on a friday. I waited 7 days and then on the following friday morning I called his office to see what the hold up was. I guess I should have called sooner. The office lady said that the MRI was never scheduled. She said she would give the doctor a note and she would call me back that afternoon. She never called me back. I called her. I actually go through and when I asked about the MRI the staff person said she was waiting for the referal to clear my insurance. I called my insurance provider and they told me that the referal was rejected due to there not being enough information provided by the doctor. So I called the doctors office back and left a message that will not be answered until Monday the following week. I, along with other family members have had problems with getting percriptions called in as well. Meanwhile I am in pain. I feel like I have become just a number in his office.
