Dr. Luis Enrique Quinones, MD

My son was under his care at MHRC on 20th Street. It was hard enough on me to put him there to get help...we were very worried & concerned, as he is non-verbal w/severe Autism. Had a few questions about Dr. Q changing my son's meds - this doctor does not talk to parents!! Really, my son is a non-verbal minor & u are too freaking important that u don't "do" parents! That is unacceptable & we would never recommend a medical "professional" who won't communicate with patients or their guardians. How uncaring & non-compassionate can you be?? Booooo.

She doesnt do her job. Im still waiting for meds for three weeks , because she will not resubmit scripts nor return mail order pharmacy back. She needs to go. This has happen many times. Dr Q is a great doctor but his staff lady stinks. She needs to do her job and bot mess with peoples illness due to not having medication.

Dr. Q has an EXTREMELY LONG waiting list for new patients. Dr. Quinones (Dr. Q) has been both of my sons' psychiatrist for 15+ years and Dr. Q will be their psychiatrist throughout each of their individual lives. Dr. Q's patients stay under his care throughout their lives until they move way out of state or literally pass away. This is why it is so difficult to get a new patient appointment with Dr. Luis E. Quinones of Jacksonville, Florida.As far as the long wait times, Dr. Q is head of Mental Health Resource Center (M.H.R.C.) of Jacksonville, Florida, at the beach; and whenever there is an incident at the hospital (M.H.R.C.), Dr. Q must stay until the incident is re-directed, "calm", &/or resolved - no matter how long it takes. Also, Dr. Quinones takes his time, & compassionately listens to each of his patients. Dr. Q's diagnosis for each of my sons have been right on the nose. The medication regiment for each of my sons has been spot on. I am so grateful and thankful to our Loving… Father Above to have him as my sons' psychiatrist - Amen!!!

Dr. Quinones is the doctor you hope to have caring for you. He listens carefully, and offers different courses of treatment. You are truly a part of your care plan. Additionally, he is very familiar with prescription medications, their benefits and shortcomings. He is unbiased regarding these medications and listens carefully to your concerns. He is a treasure and I recommend him every time I get the opportunity.

This Dr brought me out of the deepest depression and addiction anyone could suffer. Appointment times were long (due to extra care he gives children)but the medical care was beyond "worth" the wait!!! I have total recovered and now have my own business. Dr Quinones is an angel with skin!

"I just tried to get an appointment yesterday and went to the office so the receptionist could make a copy of my insurance card and my ID. I was told to wait and sat in the waiting room while the receptionist chatted up with her friends and stood out by her car and then back in the office again. After sitting for 12 mins I asked if I should come back and her friend said something to me in Spanish and smiled. I sat for 3 more mins and left. Today my doctor tried to get an appointment for me and the receptionist told her to find someone else to help me. She was nasty as if I had done something wrong. The receptionist is and will ruin this mans business, even thought I never spoke to him or met him.I needed their help and the receptionist deemed me "UNWORTHY" Good luck going here!

I could never reach the doctor and, was told that the doctor never sees parents of his patients (eventhough the patients are under legal age).
