Dr. Luis Edmundo Vasquez, MD

Dr. V how I call him, is an awesome physician, very knowledgeable and personable, made me feel better from the very first appointment, I've seen him for 5 years now and his staff is wonderful!

After visiting multiple physicians, including self reported "pain specialists" and orthopedists, I came to this office. I was seen by Dr. Vasquez and he diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and he explained in simple terms what this condition is and different options for treatment. He eased my anxiety and worries, he ordered blood tests and started treatment, he explained to me that regardless of any treatment prescribed, without exercise, I would not make recovery, and indeed he was right, he took me off some of the other pain killers prescribed, and started me on the right treatment. Three months later, I am a different person, I feel so much better and I can function. His staff is also the most caring I have ever encountered. I definitely would recommend this doctor to my friends and family.

My wife had visited multiple physicians, and no diagnosis made. She was seen by Dr. Vasquez and right away found what her problem was with vasculitis, treatment was instituted and now she is oxygen free and living a normal life. Thank you Dr. Vasquez and thank you Texas Arthritis for caring and compassionate work.

Great Doctor, diagnosed me with Lupus right away, don't pay attention to bad reviews, this place is outstanding.

Was referred to see Dr. Luis E Vasquez about autoimmune problems of my itchy, burning red scalp and hair loss. First thing he said to me was, "So you have bad joint pain?" No, and I explained the situation to him. He seemed rather sad that I did not have all the criteria for lupus and even though my labs did show I had an autoimmune problem, he suggested I wait until it got worse to try to find out what was wrong with me. I told him as a woman, I was concerned about my large loss of hair and then he finally examined me. He ordered more blood labs and I got a call a week later that my labs were back and I did not have lupus! Seriously?! Much waste of time and money.

We came from Dallas to see Dr. Vasquez after reading the reviews. He and the whole staff are definitly a 5 star team. At one time there were 4 staff members in the treatment room. Dr. Vasquez quickly identified and treated a cyst that a dozen different doctors in Dallas had missed. We felt so fortuante that Alma got us scheduled the day after our call. Everyone was perfessional as well as caring. We would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Vasquez.

Good personality until I had a reaction to med I had taken x 4 years, then became unable to think straight, unable to step up on curb, blood blisters under skin on my arms and deep bruising. I was able to climb into an 18 wheeler and within one year could not step up on a curb. Pa would not listen either just because they had never seen plaquenil toxicity before. Just LOOK THE SYMPTOMS UP!!!

Dr. Vasquez didn't seem to listen or care about my symptoms, and his exam (arthritis in hands) left me in more pain than when I arrived. Staff quoted me copay plus 20% when I arrived. At the end of the visit they said copay plus 100% (the difference between $100 and about $400, due at the visit). My PCP and I separately requested x-rays/labs sent to PCP before my follow up 2 weeks later; the x-rays/report weren't sent at all, and only the initial/basic labs, not the ones involved w/arthritis were sent. I got a referral to a different doctor, and won't see this one again.

Best Doctor I've ever seen, very personable and caring. Would not trust other poor reviews. There is always unhappy people seeking disability.

This Dr. Vasquez seems very personable in person. That is after he shows up in exam room, waited two hours first visit for him on exam room before he entered. On follow up visits average wait was one hour fifteen minutes. This is a Dr. that gives other Drs a bad reputation , he feels entitled to do as he pleases ( by being late to his scheduled appointments) he has no regard to the inconvience and hardship he puts on his patients. One visit he was already a hour late, and I heard the nurses in his office talking saying that he wouldn't be coming in for another 20 minutes. He had five patients waiting in exam rooms that day while he was still at home.
