Dr. Luke Wilson Lucas, MD

The only negative thing I can complain about is that he just retired. :(

Good Dr.

Dr. Lucas seems very stoic at first, but he is very caring and very intelligent. He was not quick to slap a label on me, but treated me for some time before confirming the diagnosis, which I appreciated. He has made himself available to me in the evenings and on weekends (as noted in another review). There are times when he doesn't have an appointment available, but he always works me in one way or another. The office is clean (which matters to me). I have only been in the waiting room with another person one other time and the privacy is appreciated. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes and usually less than that. I wouldn't trust my care to another psychiatrist.

I found Dr Lucas genuinly concerned, and aggressive in treating symptoms. Dr Lucas makes every effort at spending time with you as needed, which of course results in longer wait time for the next patient. He is an extremely intelligent and compassionate man, though a certain reserve may leave patients with a false sense about his bedside manner.
