How a psychiatrist can have no compassion is beyond me. After taking one full month just to get his office to make a new patient appt, the appts were cancelled due to COVID -- totally understandable. His "assistant" says she called me several times, yet my phone never rang and no messages during this whole process of getting appt. Requested that the doctor call me as I just need simple guidance. I was willing to pay for a phone appt, but still that was not going to happen. The doctor did call me upon my request and after 2 minutes our call was dropped. I waited for him to call me back, but he did not. I called him, I assume it was his personal cell phone as it was his personal greeting and left a VM. He never called back. I needed 5 minutes of guidance. It baffles me that a doctor who is suppose to care for people could not give me 5 minutes. Even just to say, I can't help you. This was a shame as he came recommended. I called his office and emailed several times. Not even a courtesy… call back or email from his "assistant". Nothing. I find this to be despictable. If you want a doctor who deep down (or maybe not so deep down) does not give a sh*t about you, this "doctor" is your guy.

There are some good doctors and some bad. In my personal opinion, Dr. Perris is very good at listening to the client, and creating a vital therapeutic alliance. Exercises mindfulness of proper boundaries. Clinical Interactions with this doctor show his experience and knowledge. Highly recommended.

Best doctor I've ever had. Very well dressed and mannered. He was very cool.

I was referred to Dr Peris when I moved to Dallas. I had been medicated off and on for 15 years before him and never felt well. I saw Dr Peris for 9 years until I moved. He was the best Psychiatrist I have been to. He had me take a med combo that worked promptly. He is on time, easy to schedule a last minute appointment,and he also returns phone calls within hours. Even on weekends.

This doctor's demeanor is reassuring and polite. Within his field, he stands out as one who listens well and remains respectful. We really appreciated working with him for several years.

In all honesty, I picked Dr. Peris because his office is across the street from my job. But I lucked out. Getting an appointment is easy, especially compared to some places I have gone. His office manager, Eleanor, is awesome. She takes care of everything, is well organized and always calls to remind me of appointments. I am never left waiting for long periods of time. And Dr. Peris himself is pretty great. I've had doctors where they literally saw me for 5 minutes before handing me a refill and pushing me out the door, still holding my list of concerns that I had wanted to discuss. Dr. Peris doesn't do that. If you have a laundry list of things to discuss, then he has the time to discuss them with you. He is knowledgeable about a large spectrum of topics. He is kind and considerate. Even if I change jobs, I won't change doctors.

We have been appreciative patients of Dr Peris for 3 years. I have found him to be respectful, helpful, and caring. His approach is supportive and conservative. One of his strengths is that he really does know his meds and the many ways they can be used well. Words cannot express our thankfulness for Dr Peris.

I've been to great psychiatrists, and I've been to terrible ones. Dr. Peris is the very best. He's also a therapist, so he isn't solely focused on doling out medication. He understands the value of combining therapy, diet, exercise, etc. with drug therapy. His office administrator, Eleanor, is also wonderful. A friend referred him to me, and I've since referred him to several other people. In the six years I've been seeing him I've never left his office dissatisfied.

I was looking up other potential specialists for me, and decided to take a peak at how my favorite doctors are being rated. I was shocked to find the one, negative review for Dr. Peris. It doesn't even sound like the reviewer has ever had an appointment, based on the comments. The reviewer bashed him for having changed his name? Well, duh. Lots of foreigners do this when they immigrate to the US because Americans have such a hard time not bastardizing their names. I've got lots of friends that did they when they immigrated, and I trust them no less. And Indian names commonly seem to have seemingly 20 characters in them. Peris is much easier to remember.I've been seeing Dr. Peris for somewhere between six and nine years, for depression/anxiety. He sat there patiently, caringly listening to me sob and tell him my problems on that first visit. And within 24-48 hrs of starting the drug he recommended, I felt a change for the better. This alleviated my fears of taking psychiatric… drugs. Then, because of certain concerns I had with side effects, he also added a second drug to balance out the first one and help even more. I felt so much better; so much like my old self. Living life got easy again, and I was happy once more instead of sobbing all the time and dealing with the nightmares in my head. As the years went on, we tweaked the formula, and it got better every time. I've been on my current two drugs for about a few years now, and I love them.Dr. Peris listens and also answers my questions very well. Very informed and seems very up-to-date. We've talked about a wide variety of brain related topics, even if they don't necessarily have to do with me, and instead are about friends or family that I care about. He even gives good advise.I've referred three people to him so far, and all three have had the same glowing reviews.I even very much like his office manager, Eleanor. She is also very warm and friendly, catches up with me on the latest. She even handles all the troubles with my insurance company, and calls me the day before to remind me of my visit.I'm down to only four visits a year now, for checkups (instead of once a month like some psychiatrists, I've heard, do). Every visit since the first one has been positive.Both are very caring while still being very professional. I can't recommend them highly enough.
