Dr. Luther St James IV, MD

He has no bedside manners, googled symptoms and overlooked what I came in for. Not sure why he is still employed at Rapid Urgent Care. Gives the entire place a bad look. I cannot stress how rude he is.

He is very rude and walked in to let me know my results from a test and was rude when asking questions and then told me I’m not a doctor and I shouldn’t tell someone else to go to the doctor because I’m not a doctor but with everything going on I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Very knowledgable and informative. Dr. St James made sure we knew everything about our visit and how to follow up if needed. Very professional, confident, speedy, and concise.

Today I went into Rapid Urgent Care in Slidell, La and he was my doctor. He was the best. I had a upper respiratory infection and almost pneumonia. He could tell I was in pain and was so considerate. He checked my ears (which were also hurting) and listened to my chest. He did everything any other doctor would do. He prescribed me with the appropriate medications and was very kind. And for whoever posted the first rating on him and gave him zero stars, I’m sorry you had a bad experience. But ya ever thought maybe he was just having a bad day or maybe he had a obnoxious patient right before you? No you probably didn’t. You just assumed he would treat you differently if you were black! Well just so we can clarify, I’m a white 31 year old woman who he treated with kindness.

This is a horrible person and an even worse so called doctor. My wife brought my 5year old to him for a lingering 2 week cough. He was informed that my child had a history of pneumonia and had fever the night before. He hurriedly examined my child to my wife’s protest. He did not listen to my child’s chest for more than five seconds and when my wife asked him to listen longer he laughed and asked if she wanted to do it. She requested to have a flu test done so he reluctantly did so only after making a spectacle by yelling down the hall “can someone come do a flu test?!”. He basically left the office without saying anything and prescribed a cough medicine. Did not address the fever at all. He has zero bedside manners and it seemed as though we were there to inconvenience him, maybe he had a saints party to go too? I can’t help but wonder if he would have treated an African American patient the same way. Stay away from him because, in my opinion, he’s not a doctor by true definition.
