Dr. Luz Amelia Green, MD

Dr. Green had been my doctor for a few years until I lost my insurance due to the pandemic. Today I sadly found out she doesn't accept my new insurance, so I am going to say I will miss this phenomenally gifted doctor who provided me with the best help when I didn't know how to help myself. She knew exactly what I needed. Her intuition, professionalism, and expertise are both unique and invaluable.

I liked Dr. Green at first, she's nice enough and personable, and the office receptionist was really great, but I was forced to find a new provider. She's impossible to get ahold of, never returns calls, and TWICE left me without a refill for weeks. Most recently, she has refused to call me back after leaving messages almost daily at the office for a week. It's been two months and I've still heard nothing from Omni Psychiatric. This is dangerous behavior for a psychiatrist who is responsible for people's mental health.

Please do not make the same mistake I made by scheduling an appointment w/ “Dr.” Green. All of the negative reviews about this person are true. Contacting my insurance company, BBB, and social media to file a formal complaint on my experience with her

Dr. Green is a very caring doctor. She has excellent bedside manners and she is extremely professional. Her staff is also very helpful. I have been her patient for 5 years and have never had any problem. Dr. Green has helped me a great deal when I've felt very depressed or have needed anything. Those who have written negative reviews for her are not sensitive people. I've dealt with different psychiatrists for the past 20 years and Dr. Green has been one of the top 2 psychiatrists that has treated me. I highly recommend her! She is an amazing psychiatrist.

I had several sessions with her over the last 2 years and I never cared much for her as a doctor. She was in my insurance network - so that was a plus. She didn't provide any helpful insights or provide context for her recommendations. It just felt like she wanted to prescribe medicine which was fine at the time. What I do have issue with is her unprofessional behavior. I was trying to resolve an insurance issue with her receptionist when Dr. Green herself called me to yell at me about how much time I was taking up. She said that she doesn't want to work with me anymore as a patient. That she would just refund me the money (which she owed me anyway) but I would have to find a new doctor. I'm not sure anyone who is seeking serious help should work with someone who has shown she can be a loose cannon and willing to drop you as a patient if she doesn't like being called out for her (or her office's) mistakes.

Dr Green doesn't know what bed manners are. She doesn't take time to go over patients diagnoses and if you have a question regarding billing or fees she gets very defensive and rude. Not sure how she is allow to practice.

Prescribed psychiatric patient wrong dose. Ignored calls and emails to correct. "Doctor" is completely unprofessional.

She is mediore. Nothing that special. Just hope the drug works.

Dr. Green's office was the only office to get back to me with an appointment, I was a bit skeptical after reading reviews but went with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised. I knew I needed antidepressants, I knew which one worked for me and she listened to my request. In conclusion, I feel better, my depression is lifting, I get medication refills, in addition, she provided me with a list of talk therapists in case I wanted to pursue that route. She is a no nonsense psychiatrist and I appreciate that.

Hung up on the phone with me and wouldn't explain her decisions regarding medication.
