Dr. Luz M Martin, MD

Dr. Martin is excellent. I can sing her praises all day and can't ask for a more careful, thorough doctor who asks the right questions and handles my care professionally as well as with kindness and empathy. With Dr. Martin I'm absolutely delighted. The scheduling / reception girl needs an assistant though and there's always something with reception each appointment, which, according to reception, is never their fault. She's very nice, but I've seen Martin for years and each time save only once, I've been called to reschedule because they're "trying to get the doctor out early." Understandable, but I too book several months in advance so this can be inconvenient. There's normally not a long wait upon arrival except once, I waited 1.25 hrs due to overbooking (according to reception.) Reception also took my cell when her computer was down after an appointment but forgot to call to schedule the follow-up. When I called to inquire because my pharmacy received the prescription denial, I was… told it was due to not having an appointment in the system. It was resolved easily enough but perhaps reception could use an assistant. She's a nice girl and I'm sure she'd appreciate having some help in there because it's clear she's overworked.

Her motto is the more meds, the better! Stay away!

i receive a bill for a no show and i did not have an appointment. called the billing office and was dr martin would have to approve the 50.00 charge. this has been going on since jan 2016 we re now in aug 2016 and i do not have an appointment any time soon.

Pushed pills. Did an astoundingly poor job of it.

DR Martin is a wonderful doctor. She's very patient and listens to you.

Used to be with this doctor all the time. Just trys to push you down on pills that you do not need just to make money out of you. She almost came close to try and put me in a mental hospital even when I was not doing anything wrong and was having side effects from the medications that I was taking at the time that caused me headaches. I was trying to come off the medications that were giving me side effects and just was still pushing me to continue taking the pills even though they were giving me side effects. Also tried to put another patient in her office at risk by continuing to push them to take the medication that was giving them side effects too. Please avoid this doctor at all cost.

Over prescribes drugs to patients .. One being my sister who almost died a month ago. She has gotten much worse since seeing her

Very annoyed with this doctor. Relatively new patient for hers and in order to be placed on the medication I've been prescribed for years by my last doctor, I moved so had to get a new doctor her, for ADD I was required to have a full work up by my pcp including an ECG and blood work.. Then It's almost impossible to get anyone at the officer to pick up the phone. I work in mercy. I called over ten times with no response. So I walked to the officer and the receptionist is just sitting there. This isn't a fluke either. Good luck talking to anyone on the phone any time. Her voicemail box is almost always full as well. Never returned my calls or responded to my messages.

dr martin spent my time telling me how to vote and then ended up making a critical mistake during the visit. she cared more about her political interest than doing her job.

Called three times over three days to make an appointment. I left my number but no call back. Tried calling the Springfield office today, but got hung up on. Been a patient for 5+ years and I am tired of all the work I have to do just to get an appointment. At some point she needs to stop taking new patients because even when I do finally get an office visit, I'm waiting over an hour (every time) before I can see her.
