Dr. Lydia Kalsner-Silver, PhD

Dr. Lydia Kalsner is extremely unprofessional as a marriage counselor, being very biased. Dr. Kalsner is not a problem solver. In fact she contributed more division by supporting and weaponizing my partner, herself a licensed therapist, therefore, making therapy from the beginning a challenge. Additionally, Dr. Lydia Kalsner was a very ineffective communicator of the Gottman Method. Totally failing to stimulate constructive thinking and conversation, leaving the session feeling flat and unstimulated. The unethical breach of Dr. Kalsner, by venturing outside of the boundaries of a marriage counselor, created a difficult situation more problematic. A very expensive optimistic investment in our relationship should not have increased the tension and demands.

Dr. Kalsner helped me make a lot of progress with the problems and issues i was facing in my current life. i would highly recommend her.

Dr. Lydia Kalsner is one of the best mental health professionals I have ever known. She is highly trained and skilled in multiple evidenced-based modalities which enable her to help a variety of clients’ issues. Dr. Kalsner is competent and conscientious not to mention ethical. She spends ample time with her clients, both in the office and out, and collaborates with additional mental and/or physical health practitioners when her clients’ needs warrant that. Dr. Kalsner is empathetic and compassionate towards her clients and is direct; she is not the type of therapist who tells you ‘what you want to hear.’ She is intelligent, reliable, experienced and resourceful, and she is trusted, respected and valued in her field.

After several visits, I can honestly say this therapist was extremely disappointing. I would definitely not recommend her.
