Dr. Lydia Keise, MD

I worked w a practitioner in this practice for around 3 years. When she left, I wasn’t informed by its administration. Instead, I was given a telehealth link to a different professional. I thought it was an error and emailed. The receptionist or office manager called me at work the next day, but I was surrounded by people. Rather than directly state the NP was no longer with Insyte, Natasha went on and on, so I had to say I’d call back later. By that time, and an hour before my appointment, I’d already been billed for a missed appointment. Only when I called the number for that “missed appointment” did the billing manager tell me that my practitioner was no longer with them and it wasn’t their policy to let patients know before switching them to someone else. I had to repeatedly demand that the charge for a missed appointment was reversed as it was only 4pm and my appointment was at 5, and I’d never officially canceled. When I called the main number explaining how surprised I was by… the aforementioned, Natasha told me she’d make an appointment for me with Dr. Keise. I told her I wanted time to think about it and call my PCP to see if that practice could prescribe my meds.I told her I wasn’t comfortable with their policy of switching practitioners without notifying patients. At least give people the time to prepare to no longer see the person with whom they’ve been working. She then offered to hold several virtual appointments for me the following week until I spoke w my PCP’s office and could call her back with my decision. I appreciated this very much. However, within an hour or two after that call, I got an email that said, As per my request my chart was permanently closed. I never made such request. I called and emailed the office asking for clarification, but Natasha never responded to me, leaving me without a transition to another doctor for one of my medications. Though I did feel very comfortable working with the NP who is no longer with them, overall, I would expect more sensitivity from a psychiatric practice than what I experienced with Insyte. Incidentally, I once left the only in-person appointment I had with this office. Whomever was behind the reception desk asked, “How was everything?” sounding like a server in a restaurant. Such an odd question to ask someone who’s just left the private space in a psychiatrist’s office.

WARNING! AVOID LYDIA KEISE! In my opinion, she is unprofessional and unreliable. In my opinion, she harbors prejudicial views against persons with mental health conditions and disabilities. She would not return my calls after the initial intake, and left me without medications for a long time.

Went to see her for a medication management consult and after filling out a ridiculously detailed intake form and having her child walk in and out during appointment we discussed working together. Tried to reach her for several weeks but she would not return my calls. Very unprofessional!

Dr. Keise should not have her license. Not only is her office unprofessional, but she uses your illness as an excuse for her mistakes. She can’t keep an admin or pay her heating bill. If you weren’t “crazy” when you met her, she’ll drive you there. Worst doctor I’ve come across in any speciality in over 40 years. Shameful.

Very sweet and courteous. Really makes sure her patients are comfortable.
