Dr. Lydia Savic, MD

I had microdermabrasion done and told her my face was burning, she didn't believe me. I had to be put on steroids because my skin blistered. I was put on 2 medications and when I wanted them refilled her receptionist called me a drug addict. She dropped me. My mother became very ill and she diagnosed her with an ear infection when it was her potassium that was dangerously low along with her kidney function.

I had the same doctor for 18 years but over the years it has taken longer to see him. Appointments scheduled months in advance were fine, but not if you need to see him right away. I hurt my arm and was told it would be three and a half weeks to see him, or I could settle for the nurse practitioner. With how expensive medical care is, I expect to see the doctor when needed, and I don't want to use emergency care if not necessary. I have since switched to Dr. Savic, and have been given the care I need when I need it. She has always been very accommodating, and her staff is very professional. I also think that she is very thorough and knowledgeable. I am now getting the care that I want.

I got a call from dr Savic tellng me that my Pap test was abnormal. She assured me that she had pulled my chart and all previous tests had been fine and all we had to do was retest me in a year. This didn’t set well with me so I requested a copy of my last three years of Pap tests. She inquired why I would want that but said she would send them. When I received them my 2017 results were missing. When I questioned this she acted like this was impossible. I also asked her to fax all my results to a specialist that I had an appt to see. This I requested twice. It was never done. A few days later I received a call saying that my 2017 Pap (last years) was abnormal but the good news was it hadn’t changed from last year to this year. Precancerous cells. The catcher here is that I told her I had called last year and her nurse had given me my results over the phone ... normal .. “all is normal,” her nurse told me. Her reply was “that nurse I have fired, she was so incompetent.” I have since had… surgery and spent a week off work recooperating. I have recently phoned her office and her nurse Peggy shouted at me that I am no longer a patient and hung up on me. I was later told that a register letter had been sent to me stating that I was no longer dr Savic’s patient and that I had signed for that letter. Not so! More lies to cover their tracts. The treatment that I got from dr Savic and her nurse, Peggy, was appalling. I was treated as if I had done something wrong. When I questioned dr Savic she told me that it was like hitting her below the belt and said good luck!!! I guess she knew she was guilty of malpractice and wanted to get rid of me as a patient as soon as she could. After the treatment and lack of respect that I received from that office I would never have returned. She’s not fit to practice medicine. Do yourself a favor, if you’re a patient, leave and if you’re looking for a new dr, keep looking!

I have been going to Dr. Savic for quite a few years. She always listens to me and takes the time to actually hear what I have to say. I have been to other doctors who brush you off. I know she gives me the best care or will find the right doctor to treat me. I highly recommend.

It is so hard to find a doctor who takes the time to listen. She will sit down and take the time with you. Has also recommended other specialist such as allergist or orthopedics. Never a long wait. Staff is very polite always calls back.

Dr. Savic is a very good doctor and does an excellent job at troubleshooting the issue. I have found her to be very attentive and caring.

Dr. Savic was curt, rude and odd. She took me on as a patient during a time of severe pain for me (kidney stones). I was referred to Rockford Urology (another horrible place) only to be told that Kidney stones were not the cause of my problem and pain. When I called Dr. Savic office to tell her the results of my visit I was told she no longer practices family or internal medicine. The office gave me an excuse that she would be practicing only cosmetic medicine. I could not believe this after she had just taken me as a new patient the WEEK BEFORE!! While I was trying to find a new doctor my kidney stones became infected making me very ill. Do not go to Dr. Savic, her demeanor was odd like she might have been on something. STRANGEST and one of the most uncaring experiences of my life.

RIPPED OFF!!!!iAt my initial consultation with Dr. Savic, guaranteed me a 50-70% improvement with Elixis. After many treatments ( I lost count) I expressed my disappointment to her and her response was more treatments.....Really? Why? At 58, I thought I was beyond being "taken" but I guess not! I have had other cosmetic treatments by another doctor and have been very satisfied so it is not the money, it is the result or in this case the lack thereof. Save your money! I do have to say that Stephanie who works there is wonderful!
