Dr. Lydia Adele Thorp, MD

I have decided that I will give Thorpe one last try and then, shop around for another doctor. I feel as though I have "settled" for her when I could be experiencing a doctor who has knowledge and is willing to share what he/she knows to improve my life, day to day. She has not come through as yet, but I always give a 3 times and your out rule when dealing with life's "must do list" and I will give her that. But, after my next appointment......we'll see if she can measure up and if she again falls short on what I expect, I will not "settle" again.

I went to Thorpe on a referral from a friend and found her somewhat detached. She was so busy typing and asking questions it seemed as though she wasn't listening to my answers. I had to request an appointment to visit a nutritionist. There was no interest and no suggestions from her as to what I could do to improve my health. She comes across as not caring and the appointment was over in just a few minutes. Any doctor that suggests losing weight without the, "what comes next" suggestions on how to get help for that and who outweighs you by at least 100 pounds is not exactly credible. I went away without having any trust in her at all and that should be a given when dealing with a doctor, shouldn't it?

Worst Dr. I have ever dealt with. Lazy, out-of-touch and ignorant, not interested in problem solving, interferes with Health Ins Programs as a means to get you to come in. She doesn't seem to care much about your health problems or symptoms if she doesn't have a clue what the cause is, and will tell you your best bet is to look on google yourself (and bill you for the waste of time). I wonder what cereal box she got her degree from.

Dr. Thorp is wonderful! She listens and cares and offers real solutions. She has been my PCP for years and years...I highly recommend her services.

I have only had Dr thorp for 3 months now and I don't consider her a very good Dr at all. She is judgemental and dwells on a patient's past. She thinks that every patient needs psychiatric help. Her office staff aren't very friendly either. Looking high and low for a new Dr.

Dr. Thorp is a compassionate doctor who listens and cares.

Website says accepting new patients but when I called she is booked up until the summer of 2016. How come you advertise on your website new patients accepted.

Dr Thorp is an outstanding physician. She gives you plenty of time to ask questions and she knows the right probing questions to ask to obtain a corrrect diagnosis and treatment. She readily shares lab results with patients and takes the time to explain their meaning in real life terms. She makes one feel at ease and maintains the patient's esteem. I am glad to have her as my doctor.
