Dr. Lygia D'sa, MD

I knew I wanted Dr. D'Sa as my PCP after I saw how she treated my dad while he was a patient at Mercy Medical Hospital. She reminded me of an 'old school' doctor with her bedside manner. That was a out 10 years ago and I have not regretted the change. She cares!! If the appointment times between patients was lengthened, then the wait would not be so long. She gives her personal touch.

Says things like we'll get to the bottom of this, says she'll call with test results and fax them too - but doesn't. Try getting an appointment in an emergency - there's no human answering service and no one calls back - when the phones work and you can leave a message. Very unprofessional.

Forget about seeing the MD in an emergency. "works" few hours/days and doesn't return phone calls or answer the phone on each day the recording says the MD has office hours. Obviously patients are not a high priority.

Dr. D'Sa is a caring, knowledgable physician who appears to be completely up-to-date on all aspects of medicine. She is thorough in her examinations and her advice, and follows up on her patients. She is primary care physician for both my husband and myself and we highly recommend her.
