Dr. Lyle Myers, MD

I have never had a bad experience with Dr Myers or his office - generally is quite efficient and have been helpful with obtaining new medication authorizations - shares information well with my PCP

Dr. Myers let me go with Graves Disease until I felt like I was going to die. He waited far too long to schedule having my thyroid out. As a result I have permanent double vision. My husband has been going to him for many years. Dr. Myers has been and still is not helpful & just sits there tapping on his laptop & scratching his chin.

Dr. Myers appears to be very knowledgeable about diabetes. Here is the problem..as someone who had just been diagnosed, he did not take the time to explain to me what my numbers meant, except what it needed to get down to the next time I visited and I was the only one who could make the change. He had me go to the nutritionist in their office and they didn't focus on what I could eat...but just told me to stop eating candy, fries and pizza and that people in Africa didn't eat this and I could do without. So, in summary, knowledgeable, but doesn't have the bedside manner to explain diagnosis...just pushing through.

I was scared to death the first I went. I thought dr myers "bed side manner" was outstanding. When I just recently read the reviews I was floored

Horrible bedside manner. Dr. Myers comes off as very condensing.

DR.MYERS HAS NO COMPASSION AND I AGREE WITH NO BEDSIDE MANNER. HIS NURSE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE WHO IS RELYING ON HER TO ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR DIAGNOSIS. SHE IS A PERFECT FIT WITH MYERS..... NO PERSONALITY!!!! I CAN NOT EVEN RATE MY EXPERIENCE BECAUSE A ZERO WOULD BE TO HIGH.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I DON'T USUALLY GIVE A REVIEW,BUT I HAVE TO ON THESE TWO INDIVIDUALS....YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF SEEING GRANNY FROM THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES. AT LEAST SHE WOULD HELP YOU. WE ALL SHOULD BE ENDOCRINOLOGIST IF ALL YOU DO IS MAKE YOUR PATIENT DRINK SOME WATER.I THINK I WILL GO BE ONE TOMORROW.

When I called to schedule an appointment for my daughter, they refused to see her unless I gave them her social security number. At first, the office staff claimed that this is an insurance issue. However, when I called my insurance company, they informed me that they only use their own ID number and that they had not heard of this practice. Suspecting an unethical single employee, I called the office manager. She informed me that their computer system will not allow them to schedule appointments without entering a social security number. Needless to say, I am looking for a different doctor.

Dr. Myers does not have good bedside manner. He does not make me comfortable at all when I am in his office. He hasn't done the proper testing on my thyroid other than take a sip of water and he watches you drink it.
