Dr. Lyle Glenn Walsh, MD

Doesn’t listen to what I’m saying. Brushes off genuine concerns and belittles them. Seriously projects his medical problems and has diagnosed me with multiple things based on the fact that HE has them despite not testing or doing any kind of check up on me for any of them. Loud and obnoxious. He literally walked into the room yelling about me having the flu when I obviously didn’t feel well. He’s been loud and didn’t stop talking despite me telling him I have a migraine. Me calling someone else loud and obnoxious is saying A LOT. He doesn’t shut up long enough for me to fully explain what’s happening and interrupts before I get the chance to finish telling him why I’m there. I read his notes in MyChart and his stupid little comments are extremely rude and condescending and things that you just don’t put in a medical chart. He’s extremely insensitive. The only plus is that it’s easy to get an appointment with him.

Not sure how good of a doctor he is because he is horrible to deal with. Couldn't get out of his office fast enough. He is rude and dismissive.

He has been my primary care physician for a short time now. My first visit he appeared concerned about my issues. The second visit I had, I informed him I was feeling more depressed and was borderline suicidal. I also tried to discuss my allergies with him. He told me to stop taking an OTC for allergies because that would make me more depressed. He completely blew off any issues I brought up to him. As someone in the medical industry, he is supposed to discuss my depression to determine if I need a higher level of care. All he cared about was getting me out the door.

Dr. Walsh treats the labs on his computer screen and not the patient as a whole. Sadly, there is no collaboration between patient and physician. I found him to be very arrogant and dismissive.

Horrible experience.

Dr. Walsh was my doctor for almost seven years at Low Country Internal Medicine. He was an excellent doctor who got my high cholesterol under control. He was easy to talk to and I consider him one of the best. I truly miss him but wish him well at his new location.

I am not impressed with his patient care. During our initial visit he seemed to already know me. He took the time to listen about my concerns and health related issues. He quickly changed my medication stating it was better. On the follow up visit he was unfamilar with me and did not perform any hands on patient exam. He reviewed blood work results and suggested over the counter supplements. He denied changing my medication during my first consult and abruptly discontinued it. What was the point of the appointment? He could have done that over the phone and saved me the cost of the Dr visit. Of course I am to repeat blood work and schedule another appointment. Why? No hands on exam-no explanations. I feel that I am being judged in a stereotypical manner not helped by a concerned medical professional.

obnoxious and uncaring

I am very fortunate to have Dr. Walsh as my primary doctor. Nothing but praise from me concerning Dr. Walsh. Dr. Walsh is very kind, sincere, aproachable and has with a positive attitude and enthusism in his demeanor in helping me with my issues. I trust him and value his talents, skills and treatments as my doctor.
