Dr. Lynda Carol Pollack, MD

I knew shortly after birth that there was something different about my child. After shopping around for a doctor to listen we were referred to Dr Pollack. Her team was empathetic and took the time to listen to my concerns. She was able to explain what I was seeing and knew in my gut was wrong. With the help of her team my son received a diagnosis that allowed him to get therapies. Without Dr Pollack my son and I would not be doing as well as we are today. She continues to be supportive and take the time to answer my questions whenever I need.

Dr Pollack came recommended to us by an exellent neonatalogist practice. Our intial visit could have been met with more compassion and willingness to assist us. The genetics councilor was about 25 and proceeded to explain things via a slideshow presentation on her iPad. She was completely out of her depth and was no help. We were given print outs from the internet from support grouips in Australia and UK. We found more by looking on the magical "google machine" at home and wikipedia. We had waited for FISH chromosome test results for more detailed information only to find after 2 months, the test had failed to be ordered at all. I asked for a copy of the chromosome testing and was provided a report that the lab had faxed to them that day. The most professional person there was the receptionist, Lisa. We are seeking a second opinion from someone recommended by the USF Medical Genetics Dept.
