Dr. Lynette Suarez, MD

If you are looking for a low end mediocre doctor with a shabby office and lazy receptionist, next to Foodtown, then you have found the right place. My wife and I have been going to her practice for 15 years or so. We have just relocated from NJ to Portland OR and Dr. Suarez would not give me a referral in spite of the fact that she knows my heart condition. She couldn’t care less about you. My advice, run away.

Absolutely...hands down...one of the best doctors I have ever been to....thorough and very knowledgeable....also took lots of time to explain everything with kindness. Consider yourself lucky to have her as your physician.

I was a patient of Dr. Suarez from the time I was in middle school through the end of high school. I generally enjoyed going to her office and found her caring and patient when it came to treating my asthma. When I became a teenager, I asked her about birth control on multiple occasions. Each time, she refused to engage me in conversation. At one point she even told me that birth control caused blood clots and should be avoided. The interactions left me feeling ashamed and alone. Hopefully, her attitudes about family planning have changed sine I last visited her, but I would caution parents of teenagers to be aware.

She was absolutely awful. She appeared nice enough during my visit, and I was happy with her initially after I saw her, but the real problem came with my follow-up. She simply NEVER FOLLOWED-UP WITH ME. I had adverse reports sent to her and instead of advising me about them she repeatedly ignored my phone calls and messages. If I had not had the sense to get copies of my reports from her receptionist (who also is not at all familiar with HIPPA laws and was very resistant to giving me MY OWN medical records), then I could have had a seriously delay in the treatment of my newly discovered condition. She was also extremely rude to me when I pointed out to her at a later date her failure to properly follow-up with me. As a medical doctor, I put my health in her hands, and I feel that she did not care about me at all as a patient. I would NEVER go to her again and I urge others not to based on my personal opinion and experience.

The office staff is difficult to deal with, but the doctor is willing to take the time to see you and discuss problems once you get to see her.
