Dr. Lynn Marie Budzak, MD

I had injured my shoulder and was in pain. Without any examination, she told me that "you're 58, you have to expect that." From the other review I just read, another veteran has suffered at her hands.

This Dr. Had 30/40 patients die at the Wasilla clinic. Check the ADN story. My personal experience resulted in stage iv prostate cancer. She said after more than two years of what I later learned were “classic” symptoms of prostate problems, “its normal, your doing fine”. Dr Budzak never performed a digital exam nor ordered one by another Dr. My PSA was 14.5 the year she left Wasilla. Discovered by a temporary MD. I was a cancer patient, exposed to Agent Orange, and with that history she never had a clue. If you are one of her patients, RUN!!! I have about 4 years to live I believe because of her complacent attitude. Those who listen to her sob story about being over worked, the average patient load per VA docs is 2000. She was/is complaining about 1700. If you have prostate problems, run to a specialist, prefferable non-VA. Their complacencey in rehiring or simply transferring the problem to your VA clinic is what is a primary problem with the VA system. I believe the VA is taking… over the Choice program, which under the contractor functioned quite well. Not so these last six months or so. I asked if the last choice person I spoke with was a VA employee, and the answer was yes. It worked for a short time, with the VA kicking, screaming, fouling the waters at every turn, and with the support of DAV, VFW, and every cabinet level service org. Seems protection of their “ seat at the table, and plate of cash”, is more important than the patient. I am a member of VVA, DAV, AMVETS, and after reading the article in a DAV magazine about their opposition to the choice program, it echoed the VA’s complaints about losing funding to outside healthcare. I think that is exactly what may be needed. Folks like DR Budzak will continue to negatively influence vetrans healthcare, while the VA ignores the the obvious results.

Dr Budzak treated me while with the VA in Alaska. She was overworked, but always took time with me. Best Dr ever!
