This doctor failed me in every way. She put my life and the life of my child in danger during a C-Section and did nothing to redirect course, just safe face. She is a prideful arrogant person who cares more about saving face than patients. This was my third C-Section so I was familiar with the procedure. 1st she gave me a dead leg and the worst nerve pain I have known when attempting the spinal. I stated aloud that there was a problem, so did the nurse. She ignored us both. None of the other doctors in the room spoke up. Things got worse from there. The medicine took a very long time to take effect. Bad sign #2, and then wore off very quickly. Before I was fully open I could feel everything. I did my best to stay calm so that I didn't bleed out on the table and lose my baby. She must not have read my chart or any medical research relevant to her job because she talked to me like it was my first C-section and I had no clue what I was saying. Her only response was "Pressure and tugging… is normal" I told her again that it was not normal that I could feel everything and things were terribly wrong. Again her response, "Pressure and tugging is normal". This went five rounds. I counted on my hand and then decided I was the only one in the room keeping myself and my baby safe and then screaming out in pain wasn't going to get us anywhere, I was moving my legs after all and that didn't seem to matter to anyone but the nurse. I just did my best to disassociate and stay calm. I now have severe PTSD and came out of the operating room a different person. Save yourself and your baby by making sure Lynn Calhoun is not your anesthesiologist.
